This "Breath of Fresh Air" web site is here to offer support and knowledge of any respiratory
disease referred to as COPD, Heaves or Recurrent Airway Disease. We wish to make this a outreach
group. Eveyone is welcome to join our discussion group (see yahoo group subscribe below)with the
hope to understand what this disease does to our horses, how to prevent it, how to treat
it, and importantly provide a safer environment for it's special needs.
This is Belle previously owned by Sandy, our Yahoo Group Owner.
Belle had to be given up due to COPD and location. She was last known to be
sold to a man in Gastonia, North Carolina, in the spring of 2002. She would
be around 16 years of age now. If you know who owns her now, please contact
Sandy. Just wish to know how she
is doing. Sandy does have her papers, if she is at a good home she will
gladly give you her papers. She is registered Tennessee Walking Horse,
with a VERY good bloodlines.

Equine COPD-Heaves is all about offering support. Here you can...
...Join
our e-mail support group. You will join over 75 group members who
have a COPD horse, have treated a COPD horse, and can help you with treating
your COPD friend.
This is
a sharing site. In return for any information you find here, others can benefit
from your contributions by joining our e-mail support family, sharing stories
about your horse, and/or suggesting additional equine COPD resources.
We will be adding
more content in the next few weeks, so check back with us often.

THE HEART OF A HORSE
When your day seems out of balance
and so many things go wrong...
When people fight around you
and the day drags on so long...
When parents act like children,
in-laws make you think "Divorce"...
Go out into your pasture...
and wrap your arms around your horse.
His gentle breath enfolds you,
and he watches with those eyes
He may not have a PhD,
but he is, oh so wise!
His head rests on your shoulder.
You embrace him oh so tight.
He puts your world in balance,
and makes it seem all right.
Your tears they soon stop flowing.
The tension is now eased.
The garbage has been lifted,
and you're quiet and at peace.
So when you need the balance
from circumstances in your day...
The best therapy that you can seek...
is out there eating hay!!
