About Denise Smith, LCSW
Denise grew up in a world filled with animals and actively participated in 4-H and FFA. While attending graduate school, at Sacramento State University, she had a vision to incorporate the dynamic world of horses with that of mental health. She bases her philosophy on what she saw and experienced growing up in rural Northern California. It appeared to her, that those who participated in the horse, 4-H and FFA worlds appeared to be more functional than many of those who did not.
