We are a small rabbitry located in Greenville, Michigan. At this point, we have approximately 90 rabbits(not including babies). We specialize in pedigreed Jersey Woolies and Mini-Rex in many color varieties. This is wonderful hobby for anyone that loves animals, especially children in 4-H. Jersey Woolies (if handled enough) are very docile animals and love attention. They are a type of miniature Angora rabbit. Mini-Rex are also very nicely tempered rabbits. They have the softest velvety fur. The Jersey's take a little more effort, though, as they have to be groomed occasionally to keep their wool from matting. Once a week for the babies is usually good enough. When they have their adult coat, it mostly only needs to be groomed once a month or as needed. There are some great grooming tips on the NJWRC website(and a lot of other useful information, as well). Mini-Rex are much easier to groom(do not use a slicker brush, it ruins their fur). Most of the grooming takes place when they are molting and can be plucked out pretty easily. There is also a grooming stone(used mostly for horses) that does a great job. You just rub it gently against the grain of the fur and it helps to remove the loose hair. Either one of these two breeds makes a nice pet or a super show bunny!
