Enya in Australia

According to Billboard, Enya was spotted last week in Sydney, Australia having dinner with her sister, Bridin, and two unidentified men.

Could Enya possibly be recording in Australia? Or was this simply R&R?

Hi everyone.

Some "news" to discuss in the News section!

No Holiday Album?

Although not confirmed by Aigle Music (yet), we think it's safe to assume that there will be no Holiday album (as promised) this year.

According to several 'inside sources' there was a major rift within Aigle Music (namely, between three owners, Enya, Nicky, and Roma) which caused a halt in production and, alas, no Holiday album.

Stay tuned to EnyaNews - we'll keep you posted!

Unrelated News...

In unrelated Enya news, our hearts go out to the family and friends of Tammy Faye Messner, who died on July 20, 2007 after an eleven year battle with cancer. She was 65.

The entire staff of EnyaNews would like to send our sincerest condolences to everyone who was touched by this amazing woman's life.

Rest in peace, our dear Tammy Faye. You will forever be in our hearts.

A New Note From Our Webmaster...

A note from Jared:

Hello everyone!

Firstly, allow me to say a huge 'thank you' to Scarlett, my former 'partner in crime'. We created "Anywhere Is - The Unnofficial Enya Site" back in mid-2006 and we have now closed it, in mid-2007. The problem with "Anywhere Is" was it was a massive site, literally. And although Scarlett and myself both love the music of Enya, we still retain personal lives that take up 99% of our time. Whatever time left over was for Enya. In the end, we both had so little free time that "Anywhere Is" had to be placed on the backburner.

It was Scarlett's decision to leave LunaEstas, for her own personal reasons that I won't go into here. But I wish her lots of luck and prosperity, and I know she will pop her head into EnyaNews every once and again...at least I hope she will. She is a terrific friend and a webmaster that will be sorely missed.

Also, let me say thank you to our fans, all over the world. It literally blows my mind at just how many emails we get everyday from people...thank you, thank you, thank you!

And of course, thank you to Aigle Music, for nearly 25 years of heavenly music.

EnyaNews will continue making regular updates on All Things Enya! SO STAY TUNED!
