As increasing numbers of people from outside of the UK Scrabble community are finding this site, I thought I'd just provide a brief explanatory paragraph (well, two!).  The site was originally made to make the board positions easier to see for members of the UK Scrabble mailing list, when playing consensus games through email posts, as the text-based boards sent through email could be somewhat unreadable.  What is of possibly more interest to folks coming here for the first time, though, is the archive of the comments and discussion from the completed games, which can hopefully serve as a handy insight into some of the thought processes undergone by some top level UK players as they consider each move.  The complete collated comments from several games, most so far featuring the group taking on the computer opponent, Maven, can be found in the 'Game Comments" section. 

For those who really want to get involved, further information on joining the UK Scrabble mailing list, which features loads of Scrabble related information, from tournament details/results, to word trivia, helpful tips, dictionary update news, games and much more, can be found by clicking HERE.  For online players at the excellent Internet Scrabble Club, I also have some optional colour schemes on the 'Downloads' page,  and just fo fun, a little extra distraction on "That's Not Scrabble!".

  Something a little different for this one...  In association with the splendid Tilefish site (see link below), the UK scrabble list had a go at the Super Scrabble game variant, which features an extended board, more premium squares, and more tiles.  The opponent was Soo Reams's Scrabapple program.  For the displayed board, Purple squares are 4 x letter, and Gold are 4 x word.   I'm glad it worked  ;o)
