Okay, I'll admit that I am addicted to holiday romances. They're like brownies for the brain. So, in honor of the upcoming holidays, I'm issuing a challenge for a holiday ficathon. I'll be posting this on the Gutter as well as Spike's Salvation, but if you have another place to pimp it, feel free.

Here's how it works. Write a story, of any length, and submit it by or before December 24th. Stories will be read and winners announced January 1st. All the stories will be posted on my site, properly attributed, on their own page. Rules are as follows:

1. Must include Spike or Wesley. Double points for including both.
2. Has to have a holiday. Christmas, Yule, New Years, Hanukkah, or another of your choice is fine.
3. Snow is good, although fireworks and/or other holiday accoutrements are acceptable.
4. There is to be no angst. If you do have angst, the story has to have a good ending. That's the whole point of a holiday fic, quite frankly.
5. Pairings are up to the individual author, but keep in mind #4.
6. No PWPs, please. If you insert smut, there has to be a discernable plot.
7. Human AUs are fine as well. Again, I leave that up to you.

As you can see, the rules are pretty darn broad. You pretty much have free rein. Winners will get cyber hugs from me, bragging rights, and a nifty little icon by eyesthatslay.
