1) What does the video clip show?
The video clip shows a boy who
arrived at his school and has got a cube (that represents the Google program)
as a partner /room mate.
While he is listening to music,
the cube reminds him of an old friend. The cube enters a program called Google
Talk through which he can talk to his friend for a long time about the
university and cars.
After that, he wants to go to a cafe, but he gets lost in a few minutes.
And in that moment the cube gives him a cell phone with the Google SMS program,
and immediately Google solves the problem by giving him the exact address of
Jimbo’s Java café.
When he arrives there, the boy
sits next to some people who are talking about History, Music, Culture, and so
on. He wants to participate in the conversation, so he starts to talk about
engines. However nobody continues his story. Very sad, he goes outside the café.
Suddenly, a girl comes to tell him that she loves the engine, too. The cube
gives him a piece of paper with his e-mail address in Gmail, in order to hand
in it to the girl.
Few minutes later, he goes to
the library to study the topics that the girl’s friends were talking about. And
he notices that he receives a message from the girl. She invites him to go to a
campsite. He feels very happy because he thinks that they will be alone.
Unfortunately, he was wrong. She
invited all her friends, too. In the car, he doesn’t have a happy face.
Suddenly, the van breaks down. Everybody starts to talk about the problem, but
he is the only one who solves it, because of his knowledge of engines.
Everybody congratulates him and
the rest of the trip he spends talking about engines.
2) What is the message behind the clip?
The message behind the clip is that nowadays the internet has a lot of
programs that get better our life, and some of these programs are in Google.
For example, we can chat through Google Talk, study through Scholar, send
messages with SMS, and have an e-mail address in Gmail. Apart from that, the
clip shows an image of the internet more friendly and sociable.
3) To what extent has the internet entered your life?
Today, I can say that the
internet is a very important part of my life. I use it to do my homework, I
write the topic onto the search line, and suddenly appear a lot of different
pages with the subject I want.
I use it to chat and send mails
to my friends, too. We can arrange meetings, plan matches, play on line, and
even see them.
And I can meet people in special
sites, from different countries. Or If I haven’t anything to do I can just surf
the internet to have fun.
