MADCAP English Setter Kennels is a small home based kennel

located near Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
(The home of the 2010 Olympics !)

I have been an English Setter fancier and breeder since 1971 !!

(so I am pretty old now!) Except for an empty 2 year period in

my life, I have always had English Setters. The first English

Setter and the first dog, I ever owned was "Jenny" when I

was 15 years old. She was from pure field stock and could run for

miles and for hours. Soaking wet she weighed about 50 pounds

and it was mostly muscle. I spent most of my afternoons with

her trying to find out how much ground I would have to cover to

tire her out and I never did find that out! She could go and go

and would range 100-150 yards from me flushing through the

green and usually rainy forests of B.C.

Since that time I have had many lovely setters and I

have albums full of family events with an English Setter

somewhere in the photo! I really enjoyed showing the

setters in conformation shows and I am primarily focusing

on breeding the bench style/show style English Setter.
