Dhruti Patel is a freshman at Georgia Tech majoring in Biology. She was born in India but was raised in Georgia her whole life. Dhruti is a pre-med student who plans to go to medical school after Tech. She was born to dance, as she started to dance at the young age of seven with Kruti Dance Academy. Kruti Dance Academy is a well known dance academy for classical Indian dancing called Bharat Natyam. Dhruti is a proud Bharat Natyam graduate who performed her arangetram—a graduation from Bharat Natyam—on July 14, 2007. She has continued to pursue her passion and is the current coordinator of the dance team at Georgia Tech—Nazaaqat. Not only does Dhruti love to dance, she also loves to shop, bake, read, listen to music, and just have a good time hanging out with friends. She is very easily entertained and has a very bubbly friendly personality. She hopes to become a successful doctor one day, and she is determined to work hard to graduate from Georgia Tech and go on to pursue her medical career.
