WHERE DID THE TAROT ORIGINATE? WHAT IS THE REAL STORY BEHIND

THIS MYSTERIOUS CARDS? WHY THIS CARDS HAS BEEN CREATED?

Now for the first time from its sudden emergence in the history of mankind, the Master will reveal the truth behind the mystery of the Tarot.

The origins of the Tarot are so veiled in the mists of time that so many myths and legends are being connected to it. Superstition, flights of fancy, and speculation have added their own patterns to the rich and colorful tapestry of Tarot lore and have only deepend its aura of  magic and mystery. The oddest things about the Tarot cards is that there seem to be no legends concerning its origin, it just suddenly appeared in the scene. A work like the Tarot pack should have no known origin – even a legendary one – may not seem surprising, why there are so many speculations are being attach to its origin. One of those is an eighteenth-century philologist, Count de Gebelin, declared that it is fundamentally an ancient Egyptian work called the Book of Thoth.

Because of its obscure origin, the word Tarot (pronounced Ta-row) have been thought that derived from: Torah (Hebrew), "The Law - Law Giver" - Thoth Egyptian god - Tarosh (Egyptian), "The royal way" - Ator, from the Egyptian goddess Hathor – Torus “Sacred Geometry or Creation” –Taurus “Astrology” - Rota (Latin), "Wheel" - Wheel of karma - Wheels Within Wheels - The Taro river in Northern Italy - Orat (Latin), "It speaks, argues" - Taru (Hindu), "Cards" - Troa (Hebrew), "Gate" - Tares, meaning the dot border on old cards - Tarotee, meaning a pattern on the backs, which could be seen that even the word Tarot has no sure and single speculation for its origin.

There are numerous theories as to where and how the Tarot was developed. Many scholars and experts disagree as to its origins and evolution in the same way as other mysteries of life. The most common contend that its roots reach as far back as ancient Egypt, which connected to the ancient mystery school of Thoth, in a time when their arts and sciences were flourishing. Passed through the ages, the Tarot was eventually brought into Europe by the Gypsies. Others say that the Tarot’s origins are from an ancient Hebrew lore known as the Kabala, pointing to a correspondence between the Hebrew alphabet and the Major Arcana. Still others believe that they were brought from India and others even believe that they are remnants of the lost city of Atlantis. The origins of the Minor Arcana are in doubt as well. Some may state that they were part of the original Egyptian deck while others contend that they weren’t added until after the first millennium.
