The Empire of Zaire

The Empire of Zaire

Players Needed
In the Lands of Zaire, there are several small nation states all owing allegiance to Emperor Rondos Fendar and the Empire of Zaire. For a few of these states we are currently searching for players to play the leaders of the government in place there. Namely what we seek are players for Tarnwood, Castra, and Orinthal. Below is a listing of the Characters we need players for, along with an Explanation of the Government in place there. If you are interested in playing one of these Characters, please contact me (EmperorFendar@aol.com). It should also be noted that these characters are disposible and if you have other ideas or... simply wish to cultivate one, my door is always open.

The Priests of Orinthal

The Priests who rule in Orinthal rule with a very crooked and corrupt fist. The Major trades of Orinthal include, but are not limited to Slaving, Shipping, and a variety of merchants from fruit to exotic silks to hardware. The leaders of the State are high priests of an ancient and no longer noble order. The God that they now covet, though it was formerly the Christian God, they have turned their eyes from him to worship Moneta, the Goddess of Trade and Commerce. The Priests themselves are often involved in the Trading of Slaves.

Characters that we need Players For:

High Priest Gor

The High Priest of the town. An Elderly man who rarely pines the loss of his religious upbringing, but more realistically pines the number of Slaves from Castra as compared to the Slaves from his own city. He is a deeply economic man who has fathered three illigitimate sons who have all joined the Order of Orinthal as well. His manor in the town is not simple as his beliefs have taught him to own, but a lush and lavish place complete with a major domo and a lady's maid. Living with the High Priest is his Lady, a 'secret' around the town that everyone seems to know.

Lady Scarlet Nemes

It is often remarked around the town of Orinthal that the Lady Scarlet has taken up with the High Priest, though none can prove such. The Lady comes from a noble family of Merchants who deal mostly in tobbacco and wine. The wine of her family for some reason has recently become Sacrificial wine and is sold exclusively to the priesthood at an enormous sum of coinage. As her name reflects she has fiery red hair with very pale skin. Her skin looks to be made from porcelain in fact, and among the docks of the town she is called the Porcelain Lady.

Father Walter Plunt

The Good Father is known amongst the town as the only priest to have remained faithful to his religion and upbringing. A deeply devout Christian, whose only indulgence is of the great food at his Sister's home. He is a round man who lives in the nearly abandoned monestary in the bad side of town. Even the criminals of the docks would not bother Father Plunt, in fact most of the town will go out of their way to make sure that he does not see some of the illicit activities going on there. Never once has Walter stepped inside of the new Temple to Moneta. He is the sole upkeeper and maintainer of the old Orinthal Church. A beloved figure whose greatest pain is that the rest of the order had fallen to the corruption and sin of the world.

The Sultans
The Lands of Castra have been ruled for many years by a faction of Sultans, who have always called themselves 'The Lords of Emptiness. The Major industry in Castra is a Slave Trade, run personally by the Sultans. In fact many of the slaves of Orinthal and Tarnwood come from the Lands of Castra. There are a few openings in the highest rankings of the Castran society if any are interested please Contact me (EmperorFendar@aol.com).

The Royal Moon Elves of Lunas

The Moon Elves of Lunas hold perhaps the only Royal Duchy left in the Lands of Zaire. The City is presided over by a King and a Queen, King Polidon Malthias V and Queen Wintry Malthias. Their Sons and Daughters number many as the two are both moon elves and have been ruling Lunas for many many centuries.

King Polidon Malthias V

An Ancient Moon Elf. He has the stereotypical look given to his people, pale skin, with black hair and blue eyes. He is a strong and powerfully patriotic symbol in the city, though in private meetings he is more often than not overpowered by his beautiful and decisive wife. In private he is jovial and generally a very happy King.

Queen Wintry Malthias

The Queen is much much younger than her ancient husband, many say by at least five centuries. Her tanned skin and blonde hair hint that she is not a pure moon elf, but likely having Sun Elven Ancestry. Though one look at her cold blue eyes will tell you that she does indeed have moon elven parentage. In Conversation, she is cold, serious and often demeaning to those around her. When her eyes are set to a person, it is as if she is disecting their every motion and action.

Prince Beaze Malthias

The Eldest Male child of the Malthias Ruling Family. He is the General and Commander of the Armies of Lunas, though as a commander he is completely useless, often favoring tactics that will decimate his forces, while leaving the enemy almost completely unscathed. In conversation, the Handsome Prince is very nice, if not completely ignorant of his surroundings. A fop is almost always what the elves refer to him as. There is no singular joke in the entire Empire of Zaire quite like Prince Beaze.

Princess Aryth Malthias

Aryth has only recently come of age within the city walls, a ceremony witnessed by the Representatives of Lynx and Zaire. The new Princess is distrustful of her Ancient and Noble Family, prefering the company of Gate Guards and Dock Workers to her mother and Father. Rarely is this beauty seen in the court of Lunas, but sneaking out of the Palace to visit other places, often disappearing for days at a time. She absolutely adores the Docks of Caris, knowing that with the Sword Dancer's in power, she is safe there. It is said between the guards that she is the most beautiful Elven Female ever to be seen.
