Loot Guide

The following list shows all the directly sellable loot (sellable to NPC's) from Monsters sorted according to the price/oz ratio. This means that e.g. Yellow Gems dropped by Elf Arcanists are not listed since there is no NPC buying them. This section be very useful when determining which items to collect and which items to drop during a hunt to save cap.

Note: on our old loot index page we also calculated the spot in your backpack the item needs, as cap used; but in this version we didn't do this anymore.

Amazon Camp (Amazonia north of Venore)
Mt. Sternum (northeast of Thais)
Shadowthorn (Elven City southeast of Venore)
Dwarven Mines (underneath Kazordoon)
Minotaur Tower / Mintwallin / Darashia Minotaur Pyramid
Orc Fortress
All Rotworm places (Darashia, Cormaya, Liberty Bay, Venore, Fibula...)
Edron Troll and Goblin caves
Carlin Ghostland (west of Carlin)

Sorc Guide

The Ultimate Mages Guide! By Kron

                                        Beginning
Ok, to start off, get out of rook, ASAP. DO the usual wolfs/loot skeleton trick.
You need about 1k when you get to main. Buy starting equipment. I mean like, scale armor, brass legs, soldier helmet, and a dwarven shield. Get your starting rod, or splurge and buy Light then buy a basic melee weapon. (Ex: Longsword, broadsword, morning star, orcish axe. Etc.) Then, if you are premmy, hunt in Darashia. If you aren’t premmy, hunt in Fibula.
Basically, this is the easiest part. Buy light and that’s IT FOR NOW! Level, level, level!!! Get about lvl 15, then finally come up for air. Buy a few new spells, basically IH (rune if ur a druid), energy strike, antidote, food (if druid), and if you have some left-over, buy a few bps of runes if ur a druid. IF you’re a sorc, buy yourself mana shield early! (sometimes it comes in handy.)
Then, continue to level and ML as you hunt rots.

Ahh, so you have reached level 20! Eh? Well, now its time to get down to business! I will start off with a premmy hunting areas:
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
                                          Advanced/Expert

Go to the tar pit tombs with a volcanic/dragonbreath rod. Buy a bag of mana fluids, and bring a few healing runes. Do down 2 the 2nd floor. Go right, first. Avoid the first passage to the north, there’s a mummy n shit. Keep doing, and kill everything in the first southern passage. (Ghouls, skellies, etc.) Don’t forget your energy strike! Then, you basically just go right, then up, and take on the monsters SLOWLY.
NOT FAST! SLOW! Like… 1 at a time.

Run from them. IF you wish to go south, or kill harder stuff… bring HMMs n stuff like that.
Theres scarabs, mummies, etc etc. they r EASY if u energy strike/wand combo them. Stay in full defense the whole time, though. Level here, blah blah. Ge level 24 if a druid, and lvl 25 if a sorc. Buy the UH rune spell, or buy Hmm. Take a Bp of blanks down to the tombs an make runes as you see your mana fuller then normal.

**KEEP YOUR MANA ABOVE 200 AT ALL TIMES!!!**

Once you get level 30 or so, you should have about ml 35 or so. (if not, make Uhes/hmms/gfb as u wish.)

Free account stuff is so hard to come up with… basically if you want to have a sorcerer or druid, you NEED to be a premium! If you aren’t, I would suggest cyclopses and swamp trolls in venore. Also, there IS Fibula… again!
Ive also found that dark cahtedral works well if you bring HMM and some fire fields. Or hunt with a friend.

If you decide upon fibula as your choice, you just need to kill the rotmowrms and things like that. Easy as pie. Just watch out for the dmon skellies!

Anyways, back to premium stuff… hunting at lvel 30 takes you to the point in which you need to make 4 bps of Hmms, get a fire or energy rod, and go pwn some dwarves down in the caves. Gurds aren’t THAT hard to kill with a full def sorc and his wand of inferno/hmm combos! If they get too close, energy strike em! I bring a bp of mana fluids down with me, and they last about 3 hunts. Lootbag, and yeh.
You can hunt dragons with the safety of your 2 demon skeletons blocking, now. bring 4 bps of hmm if u want to hunt for about an hour or two. good exp, good loot.

That’s about it… seriously. The life of a mage is a boring one. Its fun at higher levels when u hit with Hmm for 100+.

Hope u enjoyed my small guide!

Spells you need: (Refer to checkoff as well)
Level 8-15: 8-light, 9-antidote 9-light healing, 10-none, 11-intense healing, 12-none, 13-none,14-mana shield, 15-fire field

Level 15-20: Intense Healing and any spell u might need, and that is within your price range. (make sure you calculate the cost of a new wand, as well.)

Level 20-30: Heal friend, Ultimate Healing, Hmm, Uh rune, energy strike, energy beam, and, of course, GFB.

30-50 great energy beam, invisible, explosion, mass healing, ( I found that animate dead is a good spell, too.)

50-100+ Ultimate Explosion

Revisions since version 1.0: Vulgarity toned down, fibula guide was entered.

By special request, i will add in a small dworc hunting guide.

>>no screen available, sorry guys.>>

the dworcs are in the south-eastern part of tiquanda. Basically, you just get a machete and chop down all of the swamp grass you find, until you find the hole.
You will need great fireballs, ( 2 backpacks) and 4 baclpacks of hmm, and a bag of UH. i found that it was easy to kill them if you summon a demon skeleton down the hole, then have it block them all.
Voodoomasters are tough, but let the demon skeleton corner it, and itll take it out easily.

Oh yeah, bring a dwarven ring, a silver amulet, and some mana fluids... heh. Dworcs LOVE poison!

Paladin Guide

                *********-1337 Paladin Leveling Guide_**********

NOTE: read my training guide and complete it at least to skills 60/55 befoe you go on! (Scroll down for eqipment Defininftions.)
_------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------_

i know i recapped for a short while in the Non-PvP section of my training guide, but heres an in-depth look at the ways to use a paladin.

From the point you get 60/60 or so, you should probably go hit the dwarf soldiers. (Check the screens for directions.)
Bring about 400 arrows/bolts with you, and prepare to loot bag!

Dwarf Soldeirs are good for paladins because thy drop small amounts of bolts, and give nice loot. if you have 65/60 skills or so, you can EASILY get
15k an hour if the respawn is fast. Do this and get level 18-20. (preferrably 20, for spells and moneys sake)

Now you are ready to murder the cyclopses! there are a few places to go:
1. Femor hills. (best for inexperenced)
2. Plains of Havock (dangerous)
3. Cyclomania (dwarf guards... yeesh)
4. Stay at dwarfs and go to the guards instead with HMM (expensive... only for rich Powergamers)

Cyclops Hunting Tactics--- as if you need them... stupid freaks. : )

Cyclopses are great for paladins because they run slowly, give food and good gold, and provide 1337 experience for the amount of ammo it takes to kill them.(thats why good skills are needed)

Killing cyclopses is simple, jun run them out. Im sure every tibian knows how to run out a monster. Just remember to stop for a second, or else your rate of fire goes down by 4x!
In narrow passeges, a shield would be good to have. (IE femor hills or cyclomania)

I also suggest Dark cathedral with spears and a shield. (Throwing stars are good, too. but expensive.)

Paladins, overall, do NOT need very good armor. At level 20 the best armor you should have is a blue robe... of you are rich. PLate armor if you are poor. Even scale armor is good.

This is because you NEVER GET HIT. Just like a mage!

Knight Guide

Get out of rook. You need about… 1k or so to start out. Buy yourself a spike sword or longsword (depends on server), a dwarven shield, plate set (scale armor and brass legs if too expensive), and get a soldier or dark helmet. I will tell you why you need a spike sword, over a serpent or a longsword. 1. They are generally less expensive. 2. Better defense, and sacrificing 2 attack for like… 6 defense. 3.
its GOOD for training, because it weighs little and is strong enough to whack rots for a bit, and yet its weak enough to train in full def mode.

The only spell u need is light at this point.

That’s enough with equipment, lets get to the REAL stuff! Usually, if you want to train from skills 15-30, you need to go to frost trolls. So, get 20 gold somehow, and go to Folda. Kill them regularly until you reach about 20/20 skills. (sometimes18/18 or19/19 is ok, too.) after that,
loot a club/dagger/hand axe from the trolls. Go FULL ATACK for the time being, attacking them with the weak melee weapon. It will take about, 1 1/2 hours of this to hit skills 30/30 if you train consistently. You should be doing damage every hit at this point, even in full defense.
Now, there are some rots in the Folda caves, as well. Sometimes there’s barrels there, so make a small farm. ( A farm consists of a barrel against the wall so only 2 rots may attack you at the same time.) Farms usually have a few rots off to the side, for obvious reasons. Go full def, and whack them rots with your full def spike sword.
(Generally this works, the spawn is fast there.) If you really feel like you are doing too much damage, then pull out that good ol’ weak weapon!

No shame in taking smaller steps! Get about, 45/45 doing this. It will take you a LONG time. About 3-4 hours, MAYBE. The longest its taken me is about 6 hours, because noobs all came and killed my rots. After you get 45/45 or so, go back to the main tibia continent.
Now, im sure that we ALL can find rots or some minos to train on. If you liked Folda, go on back! Somehow get 50/50, and then hunt Elven Bane for 500 or so gold. Use this gold to buy life fluids, and of course you have been training your mana, right? Use any left-over gold to but light healing, or if you have a ton from bane, buy light healing AND some ham or fishes.
(Usually my knight just fishes for food.) I figured out a little secret to training, and it required about an hour of pure thought. Generally speaking, people say that rotworms or minos are good to train on. Sure, they are OK, but then again, has anyone ever trained on wild warriors? They tend to have better defense, more attack, and they actually talk to you! (Kind of…at least you will have company!) Basically, go to that wild warrior camp by the goblins.
There is a small point ABOVE the little house they have. If you stand on the northern-most point, they will keep spawning! (See the screenshot I may post.) If you have better equipment, you can take on 2 at a time for training. (Sometimes I would lure a goblin over to compensate for the loss of shielding exp.) Attack the wild warrior on full def with the best weapon you have. Train, train, train! Get up to 70/70. (This will take FOREVER.
Most likely 2 weeks or so if you are on about 9-11 hours a day.)
If you don’t have that much time, you can refer to dizzins small tutorial on the skills time n stuff and do some basic math. If you are REALLY hardcore, like 14-15 hours a day, it will take you about a week and a half. Oh! I almost forgot, the life fluids, unless u want to buy Ihes, I suggest that you use fluids to heal when on yellow. Bring a fishing rod, 300 worms, and like, 3 ham.

Get these skills, then level up some. <<REFER TO THE TIBIACAM NAMED tombs.rec IN THIS FOLDER. JUST COPY IT TO YOUR OWN TIBICAM FOLdER AND WATCH IT.>>

I get to level 20 or so, and buy better weapons, eq, etc. Generally, knight set, fire axe/sword. Bright sword if you are rich. Warrior or crusader helmet, and at LEAST a medusa shield. ( I know that this is all a little expensive, at all adds up to about… 60k. or so. IF you don’t get the good weapon.
After you do this, train on slimes till 80/80. You can go to the Ghostlands, or to Greenclaw Swamp. Tiquanda is a good place, too. You have to, if you go to Tiquanda, bring a lot of fluids/ IHes/ uhes. You have to lure a slime to that small cave over by the edge of the jungle, by the double terror bird spawn. Get in a corner, go full def, and whack ‘em with a weapon that has about, 15/15 or so. (Swording I use a longsword. Axe I would use a hatchet.), make sure you don’t kill the mother slime, or else you will have to go get another one!
Also, make sure that the mother is attacking you. Or else it might switch if someone comes, and it’s easier to keep track of where it is.

When you finally reach skills 80/80, which will take about a month or so, I suggest the usual hunting spots. Tombs, party hunt vamps, party hunt drags, cycs, orc fortress, deeper fibula.(Sue me.) and, of course, at around level 60, you can probably block demons!

Here’s a small guide for the Eq u should have at a certain levels inb the game:

Plate Legs
Dark Helmet
Leather Boots
Spike Sword/ Orcish Axe

Anti Hack Guide

What's 'Hacking?'
As defined in the dictionary, hacking is "to use one's skill in computer programming to gain unauthorized access to a file or network." If someone gets your account password, and they might take all of your stuff on your character, or possibly even your character itself.

What Bad Things are out There?

There are several ways someone can get your password to your account. Most can also do some bad things.

1. Trojans, Trojan Horses - These are malicious programs pretending to be a regular program. They can destroy data and send info back to the owner, such as passwords. The main difference between them and computer viruses is that they do not replicate.
2. Viruses - Bad programs made by people to (usually) do bad things to computers. They can be disguised as games, pictures, or regular programs. When executed they could destroy information.
3. Key Loggers - these are programs much like Trojans, but usually they don't destroy data. They keep track of every keystroke made, and then sends it back to the owner.
4. Worms - Worms are viruses that sit in the computer's memory, duplicating themselves. They can be sent to other computers through an email program, or IRC (internet relay chat), destroying data.
5. Spyware, Adware - Usually these come from programs with bundled software, like file sharing utilities. Both will track what sites you visit and what you do on them.
6. Guessing Passwords - although unlikely, if you have an easy password, someone could guess it, or -- automated scripts with common words dictionaries embedded can "break" your easy-to-figure password too!

How Can A Person Get These?

With exception to #6, all the programs above can be gotten from a computer program. Sometimes they can be sent by email, a downloaded program, or a website. But, usually you will not find any of these things unless you're looking for a cheat to the game, or doing other... bad things.

Instant Messengers

If someone asks you to be their friend, and then tries to send you a file, reject it. Especially files with a .exe, .cmd, .bat, or .scr extension. Even if they want to send you a picture of them self, I would advise not to accept it unless you absolutely trust the person.

How Not to Get Them?

There are lots of ways to be sure not to get any of the bad things mentioned earlier. Using your common sense is a good start!

1. Don't download anything questionable, like character modifiers, add-on Tibia programs, or toolkits, unless its from a trusted fan site. Both tibianews and Tibia.de are run by official Tibia Gamemasters (Excessus and Ralgar respectively).

2. Never play Tibia from any computer than yours.

3. Never open an attachment from an email offering something in Tibia. It could be a dangerous program that I discussed above.

4. Remember that CIP will never send an attachment to you via email, and they will never have a clickable link in an email.

5. More importantly, CIP will never send you an e-mail! Ignore any message that claims to be from them, even if it says it's urgent, because it isn't from CIP. Common subjects of these fake e-mails are: "Tibia Poll", "Your Tibia Account", "Your Tibia Membership".

6. Make sure to have all updates for your Operating System (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc.)

7. Scan your computer for viruses using an antivirus program such as one of these:

• McAfee - can be bought in stores or online.
• Norton - can be bought in most computer stores or online.
• Trend Micro - a really good online virus scan.
8. Scan for Spyware using any popular program such as:
• Ad-Aware - an excellent program that will get rid of adware and spyware, along with other harmful programs.
• Spybot Search & Destroy - another great program to find and 'destroy' all those pesky programs, from browser hijackers to spyware and Trojans.

Guessing?

Here are some tips to make your password almost un-guessable!

• Make sure you have a password of around 8-10 characters or even more.
• Don't use words from a dictionary. Instead, mix words together that don't make a real word, or even use a number or 2.
• Don't use your name or phone number for a password. don't use words that a friend could think of using (if you and a friend play Diablo, don't use 'diablo' for a password).
• Never give out your password - not even to a friend. Your 'friend' could turn out to be someone you don't know at all.

Myths & Facts
Here are a few common myths about these things.

Myth: CIP or a Gamemaster needs my Account Number or Password
Fact: CipSoft will never ask you for your password, they do not need it. Nor a Gamemaster will do. Or a Counsellor. Or a Tutor.

Myth: Music files can have viruses in them.
Fact: Since music (mp3's, wma's) don't have executable code in them, they generally don't. But, you should be careful of files with strange file names, extensions like .exe, or unusual file sizes (extremely big or small).

Myth: I can't trust any websites anymore!
Fact: Not all sites are bad, and about 99.8% of the ones you can find are good, and want to help you out. Unless you want to find a cheat or something, you won't find the other .2%.

Myth: Having antivirus software and a firewall makes me invincible to bad stuff!
Fact: Although it does help a lot, you should still be careful.

Myth: If you get a virus, you need to buy a new computer.
Fact: Absolutely not! There's a number of things you can do to fix it. For one, try getting a program mentioned above, such as Ad-Aware and try scanning. If that doesn't work, you could always choose the 'road less traveled by' and reformat, but sometimes it takes awhile.

Myth: There are item duplicators.
Fact: If you read any post from people saying they have an item duplicator, or they contact you in-game saying they can duplicate your items, it's a guaranteed scam.

Myth: There are magical start editing hacks!
Fact: That's a nonsense. All they want is your password or keylog you.

How keyloggers work

There are lots of keylogging programs out there today. I've seen lots, and I mean lots. But, the people here tend to use 2 types of keyloggers. Sc-Keylog and BlazingTools Perfect Keylogger(or BPK for short).

1. Sc-Keylog: How this works; It is a file by itself, usually and .EXE. When you open it, you will see that nothing happens. Usually this means that the file is running in the background, and you can ALT+CTRL+DEL to find it in the 'Processes' tab.
2. BPK: This program works by binding to another program, say tibia.exe. The program will run fine, but what you dont know is that it secretly installed BPK into your system. BPK will either send it to a person's e-mail or upload it to an FTP. In order for this to work, you need to supply a User+Pass for the e-mail or the website which you are uploading to. There are programs out that will decrypt the infected file, and will find their User+Pass that the provided. Payback! :)

Despite everything.... "I am hacked!"

We are sorry to hear you have been hacked. Before you can get your account back there are certain things that you must take care of. If you do not remove your security problem first you risk being hacked again.

1. Find out how the hacker got access to your account and remove the security problem. Carefully think over everything that has happened to your account and your computer during the last few weeks. Here are some questions that might help:

• Is it possible that you have a computer virus or a spy program on your computer? Please use one or two up-to-date virus scanners to check your computer. If a virus is found remove it before you do anything else.

• Did you share your account data with anybody? A person that knows your account data can easily hack you.Do not risk that again.

• Is your email address safe? Try to secure your email address by changing the email password. To find out more about possible security leaks read Tibia's Security Hints carefully. If you follow these guidelines your account should be well protected against any further hacking attempts. Remember, if you try to get your account back before the security leak is removed it is quite possible that the hacker will again get access to your account.
2. Get your account back. To get back access to your account you have to use the Lost Account Interface. Specify your problem there and follow the instructions. Please note that a new password will only be sent to the email address to which the account is registered. If you have lost access to this email address try to get it back. For example you can contact your email provider and ask for help. Once you have access to the registered email address the Lost Account Interface will work.

Postman Quest Guide

The postman quest is an old and long quest. You'll have to travel around a lot and go to places like Mintwallin and Plains of Havoc. It's one of the first quests people usually do when they get premium. When you completed the Postman quest, you'll be able to buy parcels for 10gp instead of 15gp, and you'll also get 10gp discount for every boat or carpet travel you make on Tibia. This might not sound much, but at long time it pays back the time andmoney you wasted for the quest, especially with the last thing you get: being able to use mailboxes close to hunting grounds. This is a very usefull add-on. You can simply send a parcel with your lootbag to a depot of your choice (preferly one of your own depots ). As last reward from the postman quest you also get a Post Officers Hat and a Post Horn. This Post Horn can be used to make some charming music .

This sounds all very nice, but it's useless if you don't know how to use it. The prices on travels and parcels will just decrease, so you don't have to do anything to get them, but of course you can not send your lootbags to a depot if you don't know where the mailboxes are. Well therefor we listed all mailboxes we know below:

* Kazordoon dwarven mines (mine hub)
* Cyclopolis first floor at the northeast
* Darashia black minotaur pyramid
* Mintwallin on the north side of the city in the middle
* Kazordoon on the ground floor close to the dwarven mines
* Orc Fortress east area
* West area of Drefia on the ground level
* Elven Village at Venore (1st floor underground)

To make some delicious rum you'll need the next:
Sickle
100gp
Liquid container

First of all you'll need to buy a Fire Bug. This Fire Bug is needed to burn the Sugar Canes so they can be harvested. You can buy Fire Bugs from an NPC left of Liberty Bay in a distillery. A Fire Bug costs 100gp.

Now that you have the Fire Bug, you can go to a rum field. Fields like in picture 1 from below aren't ready to harvest yet. They should look like in number 2. If they look like that use the fire bug on the fields and the Sugar Canes will start burning. When it burned out it will look like in the middle of picture 3. Now it can be cutted by using a Syckle on it. Be carefull with Fire Bugs, since they won't last forever. Eventually they will blow up (like in picture 4) draining your HP with 5.

Afterwards you'll have to go to a rum distillery. Use your sugar canes with the distillery machine and then use your fluid container with it. Now you'll have delicious rum in your fluid container.
