1. Check eBay for original gifts for a fan. Sometimes you can find autographed items, collector's items from the original Dixie Chicks, as well as interesting books and magazines that the girls were featured in.
2. Go to a local bookstore. Most large bookstores (Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.) have special music sections in which you might be able to find a biography or two.
3. Create a Dixie Chicks scrapbook. Pull pictures off of the internet (even this site!), magazines or other sources and create a photo album. Any DC fan would love to look at it every day!
4. The Dixie Chicks Official Website provides exclusive photos, backstage videos, message board access and more for a fee of $30 per year. If the receiver of this gift doesn't want to renew it next year, they may cancel the membership. The link is located on the Banjo Babe Links page.
5. The Chicks have 4 albums and 2 DVDs available at Wal-Mart, Target, Sam Goody, and more. This is perfect for a beginner fan but most experienced fans own these.
6. Check out various different fan sites (located on the Links page) to learn more about the girls. Create a short biography and for a little more add photos.
7. Make a homemade t-shirt. All you need is a plain tee and iron-on transfer paper (craft stores or office supply stores) and a great photo of the Chicks. Another idea is use fabric paint to add to the shirt.
8. An idea that I have seen that has been used a lot is a homemade doorknob sign. You can buy the actual sign at craft stores in various different shapes and colors and then all you need to do is add some DC photos and maybe paint something cute on it and you're done.
9. Check out the Dixie Chicks merchandise on the Official Website. A lot of the time you can find great items on sale. Items include stickers, t-shirts, pins, CDs, DVDs, and much more. If you choose this option, make sure you order soon just to be sure that the gifts will come in time for the holidays.
10. Posters are great for a Chicks fan. I have not been able to find many in stores unfortunately but I have seen many companies on the internet that have many different posters to choose from and they are very good quality. Enter "Dixie Chicks Posters" in your favorite search engine and you should be able to find one that you like in no time.
