Attack of the Clones-Episode II
I collect all Holographic, Translucent, Spirit, Ghost figures and whatever else one chooses to call them. A example of a Holographic/Holograph figure is the small Bluish Holographic Obi Wan Kenobi that was just released with the 2004 Senator Bail Organa.

Take a look at the pic below. Also, a new Action Figure that was released 2004 is the Holographic Luke Skywalker at Jabba's palace. The reason that it is on the other page is the fact that those are items that are still available on the current market.

There is a new Spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi 2004 with a Translucent finish just like the Luke Skywalker. Just released is a Holograph of Emperor Palpatine. I just found out that the arms do move for I thought that there were two (2) versions. My advice is to wait until the price comes down. They are fetching a rather high price on ebay these days. Around $20.00 for a carded version. Look for new Holographic items here on www.darthoz.tk

There are a slew of Bust Up's just released: Yoda, Spirits of the Rebellion, Darth Maul and Darth Vader. There was a Purple 3 Inch Princess Leia, 3 Inch Yoda from Return of the Sith - Episode III, 3 Inch Emperor Palpatine from Return of the Sith, Blue Plo Koon and a Aayla Secura which will be released September/October 2005. I also read somewhere that there will be a Anakin Skywalker Holograph to be released Spring of 2006.

Oz's Star Wars Display for Vintage Action Figures (1977-1979)

Oz's Star Wars Display
EMERALDCITYOFOZSCOLLECTIBLES
I picked up this display in the pic below for $110.00+ and it was a deal. I drew it out on a piece of paper and took it to a shop that sells plastic and they quoted me $300.00 to $400.00 to fabricate a custom one!

Death Star Trash Compactor Monster

Here is a great pic of the Dianoga. The famous Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Monster that grabbed a hold of Luke Skywalker. The only way I was able to buy this item at the time was to buy the Death Star Trash Compactor Play Station. It was never sold loose back in the '80s

Star Wars Action Display Stand Information

Star Wars Action Display Stand
EMERALDCITYOFOZSCOLLECTIBLES
The Star Wars Action Display Stand was first offered through a coupon redemption included with the first four (4) Early Bird Kit Action Figures:

  • Luke Skywalker with Yellow Telescoping Lightsaber
  • Princess Leia Organa with White Vinyl Cape & Laser Pistol
  • Chewbacca with Green Crossbow
  • R2-D2

The second time that it was offered on the back of Star Wars Action Figure Cardbacks. The offer stated:

Star Wars Action Collectors Stand
Display all 12 figures on this colorful galaxy stand. Sturdy plastic with action levers to move figures back and forth. Figures easily removeable for individual play.

Send your name, address, zip code and proof-of-purchase seal (shown at right) from 2 Star Wars Action Figure packages alone with $2.00 to: Star Wars Action Collector Stand, P.O. Box 1313, One Industrial Drive, Maple Plain, MINN, 55348.

Collectors Action Stand FREE with proof-or purchase from 12 STAR WARS Action Figures. Allow 8 - 10 weeks for delivery. Offer expires May, 1, 1979. Void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise regulated

The third time it was offered boxed in toy departments and stores. The Stand came in a attractive box which showed all of the twelve (12) Action Figures that could be placed on it. The box that was shipped to individuals was just a plain white mailer.

The Grey Display Stand came with a slot in the back of it for the cardboard backdrop which depicted the Death Star and a Space Battle between X-Wing Fighters & Tie Fighters. A thin strip was included for the front of the stand which instructed kids where to place their first twelve (12) figures:

  • Stormtrooper
  • Jawa
  • Death Squad Commander
  • See Threepio
  • Darth Vader
  • Ben Kenobi
  • Sandpeople
  • Luke Skywalker
  • Chewbacca
  • Han Solo
  • Princess Leia
  • Artoo Deetoo

As for the promised action, each of the three (3) black levers in front turned the bases of the four (4) figures giving them at least limited movement. Each base had two (2) foot pegs to hold the Action Figures in place. I had a lot of fun putting my Stand together along with my older brother. The parts included in the box reminded us of Legos.

Empire Strikes Back Mailaway Arena Information

Empire Strikes Back Mailaway Display
EMERALDCITYOFOZSCOLLECTIBLES
The Star Wars Action Figure Display Arena Offer printed on the back of the carded figures stated:
"The Display Arena includes four 7" long L - shaped display stands -- each holds 14 Star Wars Action Figures -- plus four backdrops with different photographs from Star Wars and the Empire Strikes Back on each side. You can connedt the display stands in many different ways to set up your own unique Display arena".
This particular offer required ten (10) Proof - of - purchase seals that one had to cut off the back of the cards that held the Star Wars Action Figures. This combined with the fact that one could not buy the items in stores makes the Display Arena and uncommon item to obtain.

The Display consists of four (4) Beige L shaped interlocking bases. They are very intricate in detail. There are eight (8) interlocking tabs around the sides and fourteen (14) pegs to hold Star Wars Action Figures in place. There are four (4) cardboard backdrops with vertical factory creases which allow them to be wrapped around the corners of the bases. They are double - sided and depict the following scenes from the movies:

  • Uncle Owen purchasing droids from the Jawas on the planet Tatooine (ANH)
  • The Millenium Falcon surrounded by Stormtroopers in the Death Star Docking Bay (ANH)
  • Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca in the Trash Compactor of the Death Star (ANH)
  • Snowspeeders attacking AT-AT's on the Ice Planet Hoth (ESB)
  • Tie Fighters in pursuit of the Millenium Falcon through the Asteroid Field. (ESB)
  • Lando Calrissian greeting Han Solo at the Cloud City of Bespin. (ESB)
  • Jedi Master Yoda on the planet Dagobah. (ESB)
  • Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia with R2-D2 and C-3PO facing a uncertain future as they look out a space window. (ESB)
(ANH) denotes Star Wars - A New Hope and (ESB) denotes Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back. This Display Arena is trully a item for the serious collector or to just relive one's childhood memory.

Land of the Jawa's, Hoth Ice Planet & Rebel Command Center Action Playsets

Star Wars Action Playset's
EMERALDCITYOFOZSCOLLECTIBLES
There were three (3) Playsets which all had the same mold. The molds were made in different colors which were Beige and White.

  • Land of the Jawa's
  • Hoth Ice Planet
  • Rebel Command Center

Land of the Jawas Playset:

As a replacement for his broken Treadwell Droid and to increase the number of workers on his farm, Owen Lars, "Uncle Owen" as called by a Tatooine Framboy named Luke Skywalker decides to make a purchase from the local Jawa's which are the scavengers of Tatooine.

The toy diorama combines the scene with the Escape Pod landing site and the capture of R2-D2. The background is a Jawa Sandcrawler and is made of cardboard while the Tatooine dunes base is plastic and Beige in color. The Escape Pod can hold C-3PO and R2-D2.

Hoth Ice Planet Playset:

Using the same mold from the Land of the Jawa's base but now molded in White, the Hoth Ice Planet Playset included a new Imperial Walker cardboard backdrop which was similiar to the Land of the Jawa's Playset.

Rebel Command Center Playset:

This playset was a Sears Exclusive which once again reused the plastic base originally designed for the Land of the Jawa's but in White color. It included a highly detailed scene of the Rebel Base with the Millennium Falcon Spaceship in the background. The three (3) Star Wars Action Figures included were the At-At Commander, Luke Skywalker in Hoth Gear and R2-D2 with Sensorscope.

Of the three (3) playsets. The Rebel Command Center (Sears Exclusive) by far is the rarest of them all.

Information about Prototypes

There are a bunch of Prototypes that I have seen from friends in different continents. The majority of them range from a starting price of $100.00 each. Some Sellers command higher prices such as $250.00 for their items.

There is not really a Protoype Club of Collectors that I am aware of. I just save pics of items that I see. It is a never ending world of items and one must be cautious. There are a lot of "Custom Made" figures and "Beware of Replicas!"

The following are pics of Holographic items that I have in my personal collection and are readily available for anyone to purchase. They are still available on the current market. The only exception is the White Darth Sidious Prototype.
