EMCTS Terms & Conditions
Bookings
General
· All requests for training may be booked either by phone, email, in writing, or by using the online booking form.
· A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full course fee is required at time of booking by all non-account holders. This will be taken as a confirmation of attendance on the course.
· All bookings made by account holders may be confirmed by forwarding the names of those attending the course, no later than 14 days prior to the course start date.
In-Houses Courses
· All courses that are to be run “in-house” will only be accepted once confirmation has been sent to EMCTS that the facilities to be used for the course are suitable to teach the course in..
· At least 3 or 4 rooms will be required for the course examination day. Besides the main training room, one room will be required for students to sit and wait their turn, another room will be required for those students who have already had their turn, to sit in in order to keep them separate from those students still waiting. An extra room may be required for any special needs/circumstances that may arise.
· The client will be expected to provide certain teaching equipment at the training facilities for the instructor to use. The items required will include VHS video or DVD player, TV/projection screen, an overhead projector, a Nobo type board and a flip chart & stand.
Maximum Student Numbers.
· There shall be a maximum of 12 students per instructor at all times during the course.
Student Fitness
· All applicants for training, MUST be physically fit, and in general good health in accordance with the duties that they are to undertake.
Parking for Instructors/Examiners
· The client will be required to provide adequate and secure parking for all instructors, examiners and any others required to help with the course.
Cancellations
· If a cancellation is made for a place booked on an open course or an “in-house” course, then the client/individual shall be liable for the following cancellation fees:
* If the course, place on a course is cancelled more than 14 days prior to the course start date,
then the deposit paid at the time of booking, shall be forfeited .
* If the course, place on a course is cancelled less than 14 days prior to the course start date,
then the cancellation fee will be 50% of the total course fee.
* If the course, place on a course is cancelled within 7 days prior to the course start date,
then the cancellation fee will be 1000% of the total course fee.
PAYMENTS
General
· All course fees from non-account holders MUST be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to the start of the course.
· All course fees from account holders MUST be paid in full no later than 28 days from the
invoice date. Failure to pay within the 28 days will result in an interest fee of £15.00 per week.
No certificates will be issued until course fees have been paid
Cheques/Postal Orders
· All cheques/postal orders should be made payable to “Emergency Medical Care Training
Service”
· All dishonoured cheques will incur a £25.00 fee.
Schools First-Aid Instructor Courses
NB: ALL PERSONS APPLYING TO UNDERTAKE TRAINING AS A SCHOOLS FIRST-AID INSTRUCTOR TO ENABLE THEM TO TEACH FIRST-AID TO SCHOOL PUPILS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ENHANCED CRB CHECK PRIOR TO STARTING THE COURSE.
Certificates
· All certificates shall be forwarded to the appropriate persons, by post, once all course fees have been paid
· All certificates, (apart from junior and advanced junior first responder certificates), shall only be valid so long as the holder has a valid Annual CPR Card.
· FAILURE to be in possession of a valid Annual CPR card shall render certificates void.
