Emergency Medical Care Training Service (EMCTS) is an independant training agency based within the Greater London area, providing various levels of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care training to a very high standard
EMCTS offers training courses to both members of the public and professional emergency service personnel, as well as running a special schools first-aid program for young people from year 2 upwards.
As well as offering British style coureses, EMCTS operates various training courses which have been adopted from the United States of America. Courses can either be undertaken in a classroom setting or online at www.ECSInstitute.org.
In 2006, EMCTS was awarded ECSI Approved Educational Centre status by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons-Emergency Care & Safety Institute, (AAOS-ECSI). Courses approved by the AAOS-ECSI are also recognised by the American Academy of Emergency Physicians, (AAEP).
EMCTS has also been approved by both the AAOS-ECSI and the American Academy of Pediatrics to teach the PedFACTs (Pediatric First Aid for Caregivers and Teachers) in the UK.
All certificates issued by EMCTS are recognised world wide through the AAOS-ECSI, the American Academy of Emergency Physicians and the AAP.
