Embracing Lambs Ministries

Live life for Truth and Honesty. See with your spirit as well as with your eyes.

Embracing Lambs Ministries current focus is working to help Deaf and Hard of Hearing People in prison and as they are released back into society.
We provide advocacy,  information and referrals to resources and help to
improve conditions in prisons for those who are Deaf.

We are currently in the process of starting a pilot program to provide tutoring to help inmates study for the GED and learn life skills to help them succeed when they are released.

Embracing Lambs is a ministry that arose out of a desire to enrich and enlighten people towards "seeing" with their "spirit" as well as with their eyes to better understand themselves and others.

I believe
Rich Mullins "Creed" Lyrics

I believe in God the Father almighty
Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth
And in Jesus Christ
His only begotten Son, our Lord
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
He was crucified and dead and buried

CHORUS:
And I believe what I believe
Is what makes me what I am
I did not make it, no it is making me
It is the very truth of God and not
The invention of any man

I believe that He who suffered
Was crucified, buried, and dead
He descended into hell and
On the third day, rose again
He ascended into Heaven where
He sits at God's mighty right hand
I believe that He's returning to
Judge the quick and the dead
Of the sons of men

CHORUS

I believe it, I believe it I believe it I believe it, I believe it

I believe in God the Father almighty
Maker of Heaven and Maker of Earth
And in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son,
Our Lord
I believe in the Holy Spirit
One Holy Church, the communion of Saints
The forgiveness of sin
I believe in the resurrection
I believe in a life that never ends

CHORUS

I believe it, I believe I believe it, I believe I believe it, I believe it

My life experience has taught me some important lessons in recent years, lessons of being patient and clear in communication; lessons in how people perceive their world as opposed to how God sees His world, and most importantly, lessons in how people relate with and to each other.

In this high speed, technology dependent world that we, in America, live in, we are losing pace with our ability to grow in relationships on a personal, neighborhood, community, State, and national level.   With the lessons that I have learned in my life experience, I have discovered that my gift:

of communicating with both hearing and deaf people,

of “seeing” the wholeness of people and of specific areas,

of creativity which allows people to experience and appreciate aspects of life that would not normally be experienced,

the skills acquired through academic and a “jack of all trades” life and work experience,

will help me to enlighten and empower people to “see” with their spiritual eyes as well as their physical eyes that God loves them and cares about them.  And endows us all with gifts that He has designed for us to appreciate and use, to help each other to love and share this wonderful glory of His in His Son, Jesus Christ.

It takes compassion and empathy, it takes patience and perseverance, it takes humility and acceptance of one’s own humanity to realize that God IS love and to understand that people are the same everywhere.  To use these gifts in confidence and assurance in faith to embrace one another in the embodiment of Jesus so that His embracing arms of love can be felt and known through my humble efforts to help people to do just that: feel and know that they have His love and Forgiveness.

Therefore, to specifically express the design of God’s plan for me to the best of my ability, I believe that I am called to be a facilitator who empowers others through preaching, teaching, and shepherding so that the sheep the Lord wants me to feed, care, and love can become disciple-makers themselves.
