//Gorgons
Gorgons are large creatures and have a naturally violent disposition. They can back this up with their heavy clawed wings, “fangs” that are able to tear flesh and dominate Gorgons even have small (or large) tusks, all perfectly designed to inflict damage. Gorgons cannot kill with their gaze and do not have snakes in their manes, but they do have scales dispersed over their bodies that act as armor. They prefer dark places, and have evolved eyes that enable them to see very clearly in low light and their senses of smell, hearing and smell are excellent. They have even devolved a forked tongue that allows them to “taste the air” like a snake, to help locate prey. This has led to the “rumor” that Gorgons have a sixth sense, as they as very good at detecting the subtle particles of chemical that are produced when certain emotions are expressed.
