As Christmas approached, my mother would always tell me, "Be careful...the elves are watching you." And so, I would be on my best behavior because the elves were everywhere keeping an eye on me making sure I was being good.
Then when I had my own family, I would tell my daughter the same thing. Even to this day, I just know those elves are watching.
I decided to decorate my home every Christmas season by tucking elves around the house here and there. And each year, I looked to purchase more elves to tuck into more and more places. I could not always find any, and so I looked into making my own. It got to be really fun and I now have quite a collection.
