MEMORIAL DAY PARADE ON MONDAY MAY 25TH AT 9:00 AM
The Four Divisions of the Elmira Ancient Order of Hibernians will participate in the Elmira Memorial Day Parade again this year. We will form on Park Place near W 6th St at Sign # 14 at 9:00 am. The Parade kicks off at 9:30 ! Some members are parking at the club and car pooling to the start site at 8:00 to 8:30 am. Others will be parking their cars/vans at the end of the parade near the Woodlawn National Cemetary on Davis St to car pool marchers back to their cars at the start site or the Club. Members are asked to wear green shirts (new AOH logo if possible) and their Tri-color Sash.
JUNIOR DIVISION PLACED MEMORIAL DAY SIGNS AT ST PETER & PAUL'S CEMETARY
About 12 members of the Junior Division led by their President Colin White, placed the four Memorial Day signs at the 4 entrances to St Peter and Paul's Catholic Cemetary. Assisted by their Dads and Grand Dads, and AOH Past President, John O'Herron, they anchored the signs and placed American Flags in front of them in memory of all buried there.
HIBERNIAN SPRING SPORTS WEAR STILL BEING ORDERED
The beautiful sweat shirts and hooded sweat shirts can still be ordered . Golf and Polo shirts with the AOH logo are now available along with two types of hats. Order blanks are available at the club room, and money must accompany the order. The shirts have the AOH logo and the words Ancient Order of Hibernians Elmira NY. Prices are on the order form.. CORPORATE COMMUNION MARCH AND MASS AND BREAKFAST WELL ATTENDED
Attendence at Corporate Communion was counted at 340 members including the Hibernian Choir and Altar Servers. Led by a Bag Piper, and escorted by the Elmira Police Department, the marchers filed and filled St Peter and Paul's Church. After Mass about l70 members attended the Breakfast at Downtown Holiday Inn. The featured speaker was NYS President Matt Nelligan, with National Secretary Tom McNabb and State Secretary Mike McNabb adding a few comments. After the Breakfast the annual TOM MORRISSEY MEMORIAL EUCHRE TOURNAMENT was held at the Hibernian Center with John Longwell and Jut McInerny carrying through to the final bracket Championship.

CELTIC STEPPING STONES NOW AVAILABLE BENEFIT BUILDING FUND
Orders are now being taken for Concrete CELTIC stepping stones. They are l6" square, and weigh 25 pounds each. They can be purchased for $20.00 (payment at time of order) and come in colors: Green, Grey, Orange, Tan, Terra Cotta. Sample is available at the Club House....... 2009 MEMBERSHIP CARDS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Membership dues were officially due on January 1st, 2009. Grace period for accepting dues is St Patrick's Day with most of our Division members paying at the Corporate Communion. Checks are preferred for all dues payments. If you must use cash, pick up one of the dues payment cards at the club to provide you with a temporary receipt until your membership card is received. As of St Patrick's Day, 35 members remained unpaid out of the 424 members in the Division.
