HIBERNIANS PARTICIPATED IN MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
All four (4) Divisions of the Elmira Hibernian family participated in the Elmira Memorial Day Parade this year. All were led by their particular banners. The DANIEL W MC CARTHY JUNIOR DIVISION marched behind their new banner compliments of Sue and Merc Morris. The newly formed ST BRIGID'S JUNIOR LADIES DIVISION marched behind a temporary banner supplied by Seneca Beverage. With a bright sunshine beaming down on the various green colors and all wearing their tri-colored sashes, the contingent was well accepted by the thousands of parade watchers with shouts and applause. Brothers Mike McFarland and Bob Roberts drove their antique autos in our group adding a new dimension to the display. The Junior Boys Division pleased the crowed with running a brightly decorated remote control car ahead of their banner as the parade covered the mile long event. (Photos will be on photo page of this site soon)
