Sandy was from Woolgoolga Near Coffs Harbour. She came to us because her owner was moving house and could no longer look after horses. She came to us along with another pony.  Sandy was a very big sook and would follow you around all day in the paddock. She was an aged mare but she still kept up with all the other horses. She had come a long way since we took her in, she has taught a few children how to ride.  She was great leader to the young horses and we were and still are so please to have had her out in the paddock at Elmaco Stud. Every child that came to visit here falls in love with this girl and wants to take her home.

Unfortunately in the past month or two of her life Sandy had really started to show her age (rising 30) and is slowly losing weight, due to a long battle of trying to keep the weight on the poor old girl, things were begining to look good for her but then she started losing her weight again and the decision was made that she would be laid to rest.
