Mitch has had quite a terible start to life, before we bought Mitch he was treated terribly and when he was being broken in he was beaten. This turned Mitch against humans and he began to become petrified of humans.

When we bought Mitch he was so scared of us and he wouldnt even allow us to walk near him with a saddle cloth. If we were to go near him he would immediately pull back and freak out until we removed to saddle cloth. He constantly did the same thing with anything new and especially horse rugs.

This is when we decided to attend natural horsemanship classes. These classes taught both us and Mitch the best ways to handle each other and soon Mitch was becoming our friend and trusting us. Mitch then went on the become a pony club horse for 2 years, he was amazing with his sporting ability and he soon became a champion sporting horse. Ellen also decided to campdraft Mitch and he excelled by winning his first draft ever.

Mitch has now been taught to bow, rear and lay down on command.
