What you can do to help Ellesmere Rescue Centre.

We very often have emails from all over the country asking what people as individuals

can do to help the rescued animals in our care.

So we have added this page to give you some ideas, if you know of or have any ideas about fundraising that are not listed on here please feel free to get in touch by email via the contact us page.

Make a donation - obviously we are not able to run with out funds and one sure way to support our work is to make a donation, this can be done via the website, or if you would prefer to send cheque etc please just email us and will supply you with details. Donations can be as little as £1 every little helps.

WE NEED VOLUNTARY STAFF TO HELP IN OUR SHOP AT 14 OLD BRIDGE, HAVERFORDWEST AND WE NEED GOOD QUALITY DONATED ITEMS PLEASE.

Organise a fundraising event, your imagination is the only limit on this can be anything from sponsored events (ie sponsored walk, sponsored silence, sponsored anything really) to organising a table top sale or maybe just selling a few cakes at work to raise funds. I am putting together a list of different and novelty things that you could do as fundraisers if you are interested in seeing this list please email us for a copy.

         

• Car boot sale, these are great for turning your unwanted items into cash to save the animals, let us know that you are interested in doing one and we will provide you with leaflets etc to explain our cause.

 

• Have a look at our items on ebay you may be interested in purchasing one of these our ebay user i.d. is ellesmererescuecentre.

 

• If you are local to us maybe do a animal food collection, and drop it off to us, we are always is need of cat/kitten food, dog food, dog/cat beds, cat carriers, blankets, bowls etc.

 

• Donation boxes do you know a shop/pub/stall that would be willing to take one of our collection boxes if you do and can get the go ahead from the landlord/owner please get in touch and we will provide you with the boxes. Another way is to make your own for your home and put all your loose change in it then count it up every so often and send it in, you'll be surprised how quick this will mount up.

 

• Become a fosterer, are you able to foster a rabbit a cat or dog or any animal really. We cover fostering fees, and then the animal is rehomed direct from you.  This is a perfect way to help and have hands on with the animals.  If you are interested get in touch and we can have a chat see what we can do.
