I was born in Zimbabwe, a land of smiles, struggles, contrasts and a people of incredible endurance and spirit.  An idyllic childhood was spent mostly in Bulawayo with some time in what is now Gweru. My heart aches for my homeland but the beautiful memories linger sweetly and will one day find expression in a book...but that's another story!

I came to South Africa in 1976 on a 3 year contract, fell in love and never went back.  For most of the past 26 years my energies were focussed on a  wonderful marriage, raising 2 awesome children, developing  Elle as a person and a career in the corporate world as a Sales/Marketing/Project Manager.  A life-long desire to paint somehow took the back-burner. Then life dealt me a delicious hand and through someone who will always have a special place in my heart, I was encouraged to start painting. Thank you for rekindling my dream!  What a joyous and "good for the soul" experience it has been!!  We are meant to do what we are meant to do and Life has a way of bringing us back to that place.  I took my first painting to the art market in April 2007 and sold it within 30 minutes - I literally fell off my chair as I sent my kids an sms of my success!!!  I have not looked back since.  I am still very much an emerging artist, exploring deep within, looking for inspiration in all things.  I love what I do and trust that I can maintain this lifestyle, as difficult as it is for artists to "make it" in their own life time. I am embracing my singleness, my new journey, all that life is offering me.
