Miss Southeastern Virginia 2009

Biography

 

 

Elizabeth is the 21 year old daughter of David & Margaret Crot. The oldest of three children, this Chesapeake, Virginia native is an honor graduate of Hickory High School and a current dean's list student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  Elizabeth is majoring Communications and minoring in Women's Studies.  She has many interests that she hopes to pursue in the future.  Among them, she would like to have a career singing and acting on Broadway.  She also hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Diversity Studies, and  to one day be a motivational speaker for women.  Eventually, her desire to serve her community may lead her into the public arena as a  city councilwoman,  state senator, or even a U.S. ambassador!

 

An accomplished vocalist, Elizabeth sings in 12 languages and has been honored by selection to all-district, all-state, and the Honors Choir of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Music is an important part of her life. 

 

Elizabeth’s vocal ability earned her the title of Miss Norfolk 2007 as well

as a non-finalist talent award at Miss Virginia 2007.  Elizabeth was honored to hold the  title of Miss Hampton Roads 2008. She went on to win the preliminary talent award as well as 3rd runner up in Miss Virginia 2008. Elizabeth recently won the title of Miss Southeastern Virginia, and she will represent the area as she competes again for the title of Miss Virginia on June 27, 2009 in Roanoke, Virginia.

 

Elizabeth's service platform is A.L.L. for One, which focuses on the vitality of volunteerism.  She hopes to gain the opportunity to spread her  relevant message throughout the state of Virginia.
