Welcome to my page - my little corner of cyberspace containing stuff about my life, what I get up too, and what my interests are. In time I guess it'll grow and expand but right now this is all there is.

I am a self taught artist, the art teachers I had at my school being phenomenally bad. As far as 'credentials' are concerned I took GCSE art and got an A but eh. I don't think I would choose art as a career, it's more my hobby. Being self taught, I always searched for help, but found online art tutorials completely ridiculous or hard to follow, in the way that they never explained exactly what to do. You were mainly left to look at the pictures and copy. Never a good way to learn. Currently up there will be a step by step tutorial on drawing my favorite mythical being, the dragon. Check out the art tutorials page for tips on how to go about drawing these magnificent beasts.

Fanart100, for those people who do not know, is a community on LiveJournal (LJ) who have set a challenge to draw 100 pictures based on one particular character/pairing from a particular fandom. Each of the 100 pictures has a prompt word, so you can't just draw 100 random pictures, they have to tie in (loosely) with the word. And yes, it is based on Fanfiction100 A while ago I decided to take up this challenge, and so far I haven't done very much with it, but hopefully now I have this place up and running I can concentrate a little more of my spare time drawing Folken from Escaflowne. Why Folken? At the time it seemed like a good idea, but it soon became apparent that drawing both the bionic arm and the mullet was to become...trying. He's my faveourite character from Escafowne, possibly the only anime I can put my hand up and say I ever understood/'got into'  but yeah, he rocks with the whole science and bionic arm...and plus I'm a sucker for the character who turns out good in the end. I picked Folken because I thought there would be a lot of variety in the situations I could put him in...and lo and behold how wrong I was.
