**NEWS**
1/07/07 - The album is now complete and available for public consumption. It is called Canned Laughter and has 13 songs on it. We are playing our last gig on Wednesday 4 July at Nicky Tam's in Stirling. It was the first place we played live so it seems fitting that it be the last. We will have copies of Canned Laughter available on Wednesday, priced at a bargain £5.
Now as to the reason for the split, I have prepared an official statement of sorts for your information.
Please see below:
Next Tuesday (3 July) will be Elevensixes last practice and our last live performance will be at Nicky Tam's jam nite on Wednesday 4 July.
We don't hate each other or anything, it is a very amicable split which is mainly due to the fact that I am 12 weeks pregnant and very soon it will become difficult to hold a guitar due to my increasing belly!
I have made no promises to return because I think it would be unfair to make promises that I may not be able to keep.
Jim will continue to front his own band and will undoubtedly drum for numerous other bands!
Mark is planning to concentrate more on art than music and is also due to go to Czech Republic with his girlfriend at some point.
Alan will no doubt still be a regular face at jam nites and will djembe along to whoever lets him!
As for me, I don't want to completely give up music so I will probably still make some noises in the comfort of my home and inflict them on Myspace!
So anyway, come along on Wednesday for a greatest hits set
and I will have some CDs too.

27/12/06 - Wow, a whole six months since this site was last updated. Time really does fly! If you want to see what we've been up to in the last six months then click on the gigs page. We've not really done much band related stuff in the last month or so. Diane has been busy moving house and Mark has been busy feeding the starving hoardes in the run up to Xmas. In the New Year, we shall commence recording and will hopefully have an album at the end of it! Hoperfully it won't be another six months until the next update!
Have a great new year and watch this space x
07/06/06 - Sorry I've been a bit lax in updating the site, I've just been a bit busy with this an' that, y' know?! Anyway, we played a gig last Thursday (1 June) at The Arches Bar, Stirling and we have a few more coming up! See gig guide for more details.
10/05/06 - 2 more gigs announced ON THE SAME DAY! Diane and Jim will be playing 4 times that day, twice with Elevensixes and twice with Jim's band MacDuff. See the gig section for more.

The Allanbridge gig was brilliant. All bands played great sets and it's been our strongest gig so far. It was also the biggest audience we have ever played to!
Other great news is that our MySpace page is finally working. You can view/listen by clicking here.

Elevensixes are headlining the next Sounds of the City at Allanbridge Social Club in Bridge of Allan on Saturday 18 February. Tickets are £6 and doors open at 7.30 pm

05/02/06 and update 15/03/06
Yesterday, Diane bought a new guitar. It is a Gibson Les Paul Studio and is beautiful both visually and to the ears. Too see a pic click here.
Also, here's a plug for a great website which promotes local music.

Forces beyond our control are conspiring against us. Unfortunately, Diane has a prior engagement and is no longer able to play Sounds of the City. We were told (incorrectly) that it would be 3 September but it is now 15 September. However, please go and support the local bands!
2/07/05
We've been asked to play at the next Sounds of the City gig on September 3 at The Beat in Bridge of Allan.

Cowane Centre gig postponed due to leaky roof!!
6/05/2005
There's nothing much to report yet but give us time. Not a lot of people know who we are yet but that will change. We haven't played a lot of gigs yet but we will. We have been asked to play the next Sounds of the City gig on 8 July at the Cowane Centre in Stirling. We need a sticksman/woman to help our cause. If anyone is interested or knows someone who is/will be then e-mail us at elevensixes@hotmail.com
We are mainly playing acoustically at jam nights in Stirling at the moment, so you may have seen us. If not, pop in to the following jam nights:
THE WILLIAM WALLACE (CAUSEWAYHEAD) - Monday nights from 21.30 p.m
NICKY TAM'S (STIRLING) - Wednesday nights from 21.00 p.m
THE SETTLE INN (TOP O' THE TOWN) - Thursday nights from 21.00 p.m
We don't play every week but there are usually some good solo acts/bands playing. Especially Nicky Tam's.
ALSO,
We are saving up for a demo CD so if anyone knows somewhere fairly cheap but reputable, give us a shout!
