reAd carefuLly beFore staRt! 1) This is supposed to be fun. So have fun. 2) The aim of the riddle is to reach the following level by changing the URL: for example, if the level url is http://www.freewebs.com/elementalriddle/folder/poopoo.htm and you found the answer of that level is "cheesecake", you will reach the next level @ the url http://www.freewebs.com/elementalriddle/folder/cheesecake.htm unless you are told to use .html or other extensions 3) How can you find the solution? Check everything! sometimes you'll find hints in the url itself, hidden in the pic, in all the source code, etc. 4) Sometimes you'll be supposed to find other files (such as .zip, .txt, .gif, .jpg, .wav, .mp3 etc.) that will give you further hints... 5) Firefox is the best browser. I hate I.E., so please use firefox. It is free, and you' ll find it here. I'm sure that once you begin to use it, you'll love it. The only difference is the background music. With firefox you won't hear it, but I assure you that won't be a problem. 6) You may need some programs in order to solve some riddles, so there are some free useful tools: - graphic: gimp for windows - audio: audacity 7) In EVERY level you'll find a periodic table button in the bottom left corner. It's a link to an useful site. you may need it if you don't have a clue how to solve the level... 8) Sometimes you'll find a  button under the pic level.In that case you're supposed to google in order to find the solution. 9) A useful resource is Wikipedia. You'll find a lot of things there. 10) BE CURIOUS! Check every page, everything that seems strange, every source, try changing urls, remember names and folders and whatever... There are eggs everywhere and you don't know when or why they will be useful! 11) Save levels, from the very first ones... or maybe later you'll regret... 12) Are you ready? Let's go! |
