Site Updates

16 January 2008. Mood: amused

So, I've managed to get a grand total of *drumroll*two pages*end drumroll* done, thus far. At the rate that I'm going I'll probably give up on the site before the end of January. However, I'm doing really good at this Blogging stuff...despite the fact that I still don't have a commenting system in place. Today, however, I'm going to complete the following pages completed: So wish me luck!

Words of Inspiration?

15 January 2008. Mood: anxious

St. Francis of Assisi once wrote: "Lord make me an instrument of thy Peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow Love. Where there is injury, Pardon. Where there is error, Truth. Where there is discord, Harmony. Where there is doubt, Faith. Where there is despair, Hope. Where there is darkness, Light. Where there is sorrow, Joy."

This is perhaps my favorite quote ever, and even though I'm not 100% positive that I believe in a Supreme Being...I do believe that every single person must do their job to ensure that there is a future. So, I believe in the existance of Good and Evil. One simply cannot believe in Good unless they accept the Evil. They are two sides of the same coin. It's that simple.

I was hoping that someone could recommend a commenting system beside HaloScan - because I don't want the trackback and it doesn't seem to work without it. GR! In the meanwhile you can send any comments and/or questions to me via e-mail.

All That Glitters Isn't Gold

14 January 2008. Mood: The current mood of jesica4 at www.imood.com

The Golden Globes was last night, and it could be described as ' the shortest awards show in history' except that it was more of a press conference. As a writer, I sort of understand and support the Writers Guild of America...but as an American with an extremely short attention span, I feel that they are destroying the movie industry as we know it. Can Hollywood recover from this massive setback? Only time will tell, but I want to know why the uproar over people, like Ellen DeGeneres, who understand the meaning of the word 'entertainer' is more of a big deal than the temper tantrum being thrown by the WGA?

I received yet another reason that I'm supporting Barack Obama in his bid to become the Democratic candidate for president, and for thinking that Hilary Clinton is an idiot, besides the fact that she's married to Bill. Clinton claims that Obama is saying that he's the next Martin Luther King, Jr. or the next John F. Kennedy. From what I understand, he was saying that like both MLK, Jr. and JFK, he is setting forth a new path. A path that has yet to be travelled. He's making it possible for future generations to become what they want to be, and he's acknowledging the greatness of those men, the potential greatness that exists in ALL AMERICANS.

A friend, NH, is currently undergoing training to get ready for the NFL Draft in April. He's an extremely great guy and an awesome quarterback, not to mention a major hottie! So much love and lots of good luck to him!

Personally, I didn't make it to the basketball game on Friday night. I fell asleep. But I'm still not confident enough to go to a game by myself, I have a minor case of social anxiety disorder and it's majorly cold outside. I also need to lose about 15 pounds and flatten my stomach before I get real serious about getting a new bikini, actually two.
