The Golden Globes was last night, and it could be described as ' the shortest awards show in history' except that it was more of a press conference. As a writer, I
sort of understand and support the
Writers Guild of America...but as an American with an extremely short attention span, I feel that they are destroying the movie industry as we know it. Can Hollywood recover from this massive setback? Only time will tell, but I want to know why the uproar over people, like
Ellen DeGeneres, who understand the meaning of the word 'entertainer' is more of a big deal than the temper tantrum being thrown by the
WGA?
I received yet another reason that I'm supporting
Barack Obama in his bid to become the Democratic candidate for president, and for thinking that
Hilary Clinton is an idiot, besides the fact that she's married to Bill.
Clinton claims that
Obama is saying that he's the next
Martin Luther King, Jr. or the next
John F. Kennedy. From what I understand, he was saying that like both
MLK, Jr. and
JFK, he is setting forth a new path. A path that has yet to be travelled. He's making it possible for future generations to become what they want to be, and he's acknowledging the greatness of those men, the potential greatness that exists in
ALL AMERICANS.
A friend, NH, is currently undergoing training to get ready for the
NFL Draft in April. He's an extremely great guy and an awesome quarterback, not to mention a major hottie! So much love and lots of good luck to him!
Personally, I didn't make it to the basketball game on Friday night. I fell asleep. But I'm still not confident enough to go to a game by myself, I have a minor case of
social anxiety disorder and it's majorly cold outside. I also need to lose about
15 pounds and flatten my stomach before I get real serious about getting a new bikini, actually two.
