The Story Of The First Vampire Slaying Paladin

Vampires have been around for thousands of years. Some have tried to rid Vvardenfell of them but all have failed. Though all have failed it hasn’t stopped one man from attempting to achieve ultimate revenge.

A man by the mane of Fargone Flanith was a peaceful man who lived in Ald-Ruhn. He was a member of the Fighters guild and was a noble man to his people. Though he was very handsome and had many good attributes he remained single. He had a wife, daughter, and 2 year-old son once, but that all changed one day. Fargone’s brother was low on money. He was in a financial crisis. He didn’t know what to do. He could of lost everything he owned. He turned to the life of crime. A man would pay him 5000 drakes if he killed a man that was causing him allot of trouble. In the troubled time Fargones brother was in, he did not decline. Little did he know the man he was about to kill was a vampire. He traveled to the Massive Deadric Mansion, where the man was located. He entered and was nearly killed by the vampires kick to the stomach. The vampire didn’t want to bite Fargones brother, because he was full from a recent bite. Fargones brother attempted to kill the vampire. The vampire easily killed the man. The vampire then wanted to show the mortals a lesson. He traveled to Ald-Ruhn and killed every last person in Fargone's family, except Fargone. Fargone returned home to find his entire family was killed. He was confused and went straight to the Imperial Legion for help. They did not care and had no desire to help Fargone. Fargone found bite marks on all his families necks. Fargone buried his family, and this is where our saga begins.

Fargone went to the fighters guild to suit up. He bought a fair weapon and some pretty good armor. He asked the man who hired Fargones brother who is the Vampire that he wanted dead. The man replied with "His name is Basil. Basil was a mortal but always had a desire to be a vampire. He became one and has remained alive for the last 2000 years. He has been killing my kuama egg miners, and is costing me allot of money." Fargone wanted to know where to find Basil and how to kill a vampire. The man said " It would be imposable to kill a vampire alone, specially one as great as basil". Fargone was a holy man and became a paladin, little did he know vampire slaying would be allot harder than he imagined. He started a guild, The guild of Vampire Slayers. He was known as the Paladin of blood.

First Fargone traveled to the Deadric Mansion to find Basil. Basil was there waiting for him. When Fargone entered the throne room there was Basil, standing there sucking the rest of the blood from Fargones brothers corpse. Basil stopped and threw the body across the room. Fargone drew a silver bolt and loaded his silver crossbow. He aimed it at basil, and pulled the trigger. Basil caught the arrow. The silver did not hurt his skin, for he was wearing gloves. Basil used his telekinetic powers to lift Fargone in the air. He grabbed Fargone by the neck. Basil then took a bite. The blood poured all over Fargones body, as he shook in pain. Basil dropped him and threw him outside the mansion 50 feet away. Fargone, barely alive knew if he wasn’t healed within the next 3 days he would to become a vampire. He traveled to Balmora to get healed. The alchemist healed him and Fargone reconsidered going after Basil first.

Basil was the greatest vampire that ever lived. He had visions of the future. The main vision he commonly had was, he saw a women and man that had a god for a son. The son would be a evil man. The most frightening man on Vvardenfell. His name was Dagoth Ur. Basil had been an Alchemist for the first 13 working years of his life. He always had a want to be a vampire. He left his fortune to be bitten. He was, and has not regretted his choice in the 2034 years he’s been alive. He has strived his hole live to be more like Dagoth Ur, but has not reached his goal yet.

Fargone decided to go after other pray. He though if he could kill Basils family, Basil would pray for death, then Fargone would grant his wish. He traveled to Dagon Fel to meet with a more experienced vampire slayer. When he arrived he found the man he was looking for, Senketh Shamen. Fargone told Senketh his story and his background. Senketh told him his story, too. They decided to hunt vampires together.

First they got the proper tools they needed. All glass, silver alloy armor. A weapon of they’re choice, as long as it was silver, and each had to have plenty of vampire slaying training. For the next 9 months they trained and learned all the thing they needed to, to properly kill vampires.

They were ready. They had the items and skills needed to take out Basils family, so they though. They traveled to the Vivec temple to be blessed, to be protected by the evil creatures. They were off, finding all the scouts they could find. The scouts they found gave them valuable info on were to find many of the ancestral tomes needed to find vampires. They traveled to the ancestral tome of Alandra to find Basils mother, 2 sisters, and father.

They entered the tome and found them all sleeping. They were very fortunate to get easy kills on every one there. After this they figured Basil would give up. Little did they know Basil has no felling at all. He’s a vampire and vampires have no care for anyone. They then went after Basils girl friend. They entered the mansion. There she was. when she saw them, she threw a viper star at both of them then used a Recall spell to return to Basil. Basil found out about this, he laughed. He knew the stupid mortals are nothing but mortal. Fargone and Senketh were almost dead, the viper star Basils girlfriend threw at them was enchanted with a massive amount of poison for a very long time. They also could barely move, because she drained there fatigue before she left.

They came back to Dagon Fel. They knew killing Basil would be the hardest challenge of there lives. They returned to the Vampire Slaying Guild. Every one was on the floor barely alive. Everyone had been bitten by Basil himself. Fargone and Senketh knew if they didn’t kill everyone they would have a guild of vampires in Balmora. They killed every last person bitten. There was no longer a Guild of Vampire Slayers.

They trained in vampire slaying for another 9 months. They thought they were ready. They traveled to Basils Mansion. Basil had a vision of them coming and waited. When they entered the Deadric palace they looked around to find no one. They saw many corpses of dead people, that were sucked dry. They decided to leave, they though Basil was out for the moment. The fist thing they saw when they walked outside was Basil standing there. He had every last dead member of the Vampire slaying guild hung by the neck from trees all around.

Basil said “so you’re the one. The great Paladin of Blood. Lets see who’s so great now”. Basil pulled out a massively enchanted mace. With every last muscle in his body, he swung as Senketh’s head. Senkeths skull was completely shattered. Fargone was alone. He ran towards Basil. Basil simply grabbed Fargone from the neck and choked him until he passed out. When Fargone awoken he was in a room with blood every were. Blood was on him, on the walls , on the sealing, and on the floor. There were bones and two dogs that had no flesh just bone, yet they still moved and walked around. Basil walked inside the room. He grabbed Fargone by the face, looked at him very closely then walked outside the room. Fargone tried to move but could not, he was chained down. He looked to his left to see Senketh and his hole families corpses lying next to him. He tried to escape as he screamed in terror but there was no hope.

Two month’s passed and they never returned to Dagon Fel. Fargone would be tortured daily. The man who training Senketh and Fargone, Necren Benoe, Though Basil had killed them. He put on his robe of Summoning Death and left to kill basil himself. Basil foresaw this to and waited for another meal to arrive.

The meal did arrive, but this would be no meal. Basil looked at Necren and casted paralyze spell on him, Necren resisted the magic. Basil grabbed Necren by the neck to feed. Necren was to strong and threw Basil off of him. He then casted a spell of Gods Frost. Basil was believed to be dead. Necren took basils key and released Fargone from the cell he was locked in. They traveled back to Dagen Fel together.

When they returned Necren found his wife was dead. He fell to the ground and grabbed her. He became furious. Not only did Necren have a loss so did Fargone. Fargones best friend Senketh was killed. Basil was not dead at all, and made plans to kill Fargone and Necren.

Necren taught Fargone everything he knew. They both the deadliest Vampire Slayers alive. They arrived at Basils Mansion again to end the reign of terror. They told each other separate and if they were in trouble to call each others name. Fargone went to the west wing and Necren to the east. Fargone went threw a hole hallway covered in blood and tortcher devices. He kept going to find Basils girl friend sucking the rest of the blood from Fargones sister. Fargone pulled out a silver arrow and drew back his bow. He let threw arrow go and Basils girl friend saw him.

She dodged the arrow and threw the corps of Fargones brother at him. She then said “Come paladin of Blood be tomorrows supper”. He pulled out his silver spear and charged at her. She grabbed Fargone by the arm and threw him into a spear sticking out of the wall. He was now stuck and was yelling for Necren’s help, but no answer came. Basils girl friend exited the room to get Basil. Fargone pulled the spear from his chest and could barely breath, because the spear cut his lung. Blood was pouring into his lungs very slowly. He grabbed his silver dagger and went in search of Necren. He went back threw the hall of the torcher devices and smelled new dead flesh. He continued threw the mansion and found Necren. Necren was suspended by hook stuck in his back. Necren had hi entire thought ripped from his neck. Beneath his body was a puddle of blood. Necren was dead and was going to become a vampire. He stuck his dagger into Necren’s eye. Necren was dead.

Fargone had lost his best friend, his family, and trainer. He made a packed to himself that he would kill Basil if it was the last thing he did. He went to the throne room of Basils mansion. There was Basil standing there waiting to take Fargones life. Fargone pulled out a silver Dart. He threw it at Basil as hard as he could. Basil caught it and it began to burn his skin. He screamed in pain and threw it back at Fargone. It stabbed Fargone in the chest. Basil walked towards him and said “your saga ends here Paladin of Blood”. Basil drew his arm back and swung it as hard as he could to Fargones chest. Basil pulled out Fargones heart.

Still to this day Basil lives on and no ones ever been able to stop him.
