Beautiful Large One Bedroom Alpine Apartment with Loft Mezzanine for Rent. Self-catering holiday in the Swiss Alps.

Wonderful Mountain Village of Eischoll in the heart of Wallis/Valais. Amazing panoramic views from the balcony over the mountains of the Rhone Valley. Perfect for skiing, winter sports and in summer, walking, hiking and biking around the Alps. In the Augstbord ski region. With 90km of Piste's and 5 resorts to use. It is authentic Switzerland with 100's km of walking and hiking across the alps, with the fresh air and fantastic scenery.

Sleeps 4. Large double bedroom with double bed and sofa/bed, large wardrobes, baby travel cot. Loft mezzanine with 2 single beds, young children can be accomodated in the main bedroom. Family bathroom with bath/shower, wc, power points. Kitchen with oven, 3 hobs, fridge freezer , coffee machine, Kettle, Toaster, Iron & ironing board. Leading to Living/Dining room with Large 6 seater "L" shaped leather sofa, coffee and dining tables. Leading to balcony with amazing view of the mountains! Sat-TV, DVD player with selection of Dvd's, CD stereo, Raclette and Fondue sets. Fully equiped. Towels and linen provided in the fully furnished apartment. Parking. Ski storage room. Ski and sports hire shop next door.

The location is so central that other ski and walking regions are all within easy reach. You can be in Zermatt in 1hr or in Saas-fee in 30mins by car and also good transport links to other resorts and regions. Like Riederalp, Fiesch, Leuk, Bettmeralp, Crans-Montana, and the Amazing Aletsch Glacier! Ski them, walk them, trek them, ride them. You can enjoy them all.

In winter, spring, summer or autumn, a stay at our apartment in Eischoll is a great holiday.

You really are in Wonderland...

In Winter; No queuing at the ski lifts as this is a quiet resort that the Swiss themselves use. You can even ski from one village to another via inter linking ski piste’s and ski lifts. There is a good variety of, (30%easy, 40% intermediate, 30% difficult) skiing. Sledging runs and walking trails are a good way to spend a day off away from the slopes. The Skiing area is between 1220 and 2500m above sea level and is snow sure during the winter months. A skipass allows you to use 5 different village resorts and kids under 9 are free. A sports bus runs between them, with a stop just outside the apartment. Parking is free.

In Spring/Summer/Autumn; The ski piste’s transform into summer meadows and fields amongst the alpine forests. The ringing of cow bells and running water echoing around the mountains. With miles upon miles of walking and hiking trails ranging from 500meters to 2500meters above sea level. There is so much choice and terrain for differing skills of walker. Just take it easy strolling along with the back drop of the snow capped alps or hike up to hidden mountain lakes and see the alpine peaks stretch for miles. Mountain biking trails are also in abundance. The Schwarzhorn complex has a nice restaurant/bar on the ground floor (apartment is on top floor so no noise from the bar), local supermarket shop and post office across the street. There are 3 restaurants in Eischoll with another 4 in neighbouring village of Unterbaech and more in Buerchen. There are also mountain restaurants around the ski pistes accessable in summer by car, post bus, or chair lift. 50m to the Cable car down the mountain to Raron. 200m to the nearest Chairlift for skiing. Sports/Ski  shop next door for ski rental. 20mins by car to large town of Visp.

From Geneva airport by car you can arrive at the apartment in just under 2hrs. By train from Geneva airport to Eischoll its just under or around 3 hours depending on the connection. From Zurich airport by train is now only 2hrs50 through the brand new Loetschberg base tunnel! The world's longest tunnel on land 34km through the Alps. By train the final leg of the journey from Raron to Eischoll is by cable car which stops 50meters from the apartment door. The scenic trip up the mountain to Eischoll is the perfect way to arrive at the apartment for your holiday.
