Towing Vehicles

The workhorse of any transport operation is the tow car, and in 1980's Ireland, they saw a lot of work!  Here's a selection of vehicles that were being used :

Former Leyland OPS3 P26 (ZO 7166) was the Phibsboro tow car from when the garage opened in 1971. Here it is attending a D on Western Way near the garage.

P164 (ZJ 5904) was a former Leyland OPS3/1 coach and was the Cork tow car.

P281 (ZJ 6021) another Leyland OPS3/1 dates from 1951 and was the Tralee tow car

Broadstone toyed briefly with a cut-down E162 as its towing vehicle. Here, as RV1, it is seen near Blessington
