Rear Bluff Body:- Proven 64% Cd Drag Reduction Devices.
Heavy Vehicle (Class-8) Drag Reduction.
Aircraft Fuselage Drag Reduction.
Aircraft Drag Reduction.
Drag Minimization, Low Drag to No Drag with "Boost Power System". (NEW)
Heavy Vehicles would utilize 70% Recycled Materials (NEW)
"Boost Power System":- New - May 2009 (This paragraph only). Can be used for any Class 8 Heavy Road vehicle and aircraft including wings and possibly propeller blades. Will lower fuel cost/usage by increasing Miles Per Gallon for any moving vehicle. For class 8 Heavy Vehicles it would utilize 70% Recycled Materials. (New Boost Power System utilizes drag reduction devices mentioned below).
These devices are not theories or what could be. They are the answers to a whole new world of aerodynamics, and what should be. When you have driven a vehicle with very little drag, you will understand. There would be a "fuel efficiency" of between 25% - ∞ %.
The devices reduced the aerodynamic drag of a truck by 64%. The testing showed that
they would benefit a wide range of moving vehicles including aircraft, cars, trucks and ducted airflow devices including engine (inlet & exhaust manifolds), jet and fan engine intakes and exhausts, fans, air-conditioners, hair driers and vacuum cleaners.
For Trucks, quoting an 11 year old 1997 USA DOE paper:- "Reducing Cd from 0.6 to 0.3 would result in a total yearly saving of 3 billion gallons of diesel for travel at 60 mph - a 43% savings. At a Cd reduction of 50%" (see "about us" page for a reality check)
My estimate for the USA air carrier market, based on 2006 passenger miles & airliner miles, would be a "Fuel saving of 47 Billion Gallons".
SAVING THE PLANET FROM GLOBAL WARMING by reducing emissions
Seeking an Investor:
These would be the only line of products with a high efficiency, reduced drag coefficient from Cd of 1.0 down to .36, a 64% reduction and increasing engine power.
There are too many applications for the drag reduction devices to list them all, the following are some examples:
ROAD TRANSPORT:- Mini-buses, buses/ coaches, box type delivery vans (small, medium & large),(Class-8) Heavy Vehicle.
AIRCRAFT:- General aviation Light a/c to biz jets, Heavy Lift Transports, Airliners-all sizes,
OTHERS: Trains, Engine manifolds-intake and exhaust, Ducted Fans and Vacuum Cleaners.
The devises do work they just need an investor with a vision.
Background for the Drag Reduction Foils.
Testing: The devices have been “proven by testing” on real roads to reduce the rear aerodynamic drag. A total drag coefficient reduction (Cd) of 64% for a 6 ton diesel truck i.e. The devices increased the acceleration, speeds and power available for:- uphill climbs, cruise and top speeds and reduced a seven hour trip time to five hours. From the testing the devices showed that they can be used to improve aircraft aerodynamics.
After talks with several aerodynamicists, I came up with my own testing and grading system (Graded 1-5, poor to better) for road vehicles and airplanes. One of the "Industry standards" of aerodynamic testing used by automakers "The run down test" on level ground can be flawed and aircraft design needs a testing/grading system for inflight.
