Tutoring

We began our one on one tutoring in the fall of 2003. A licensed teacher was available for math and science. We had the pleasure of sharing in several success stories as failing students began getting A's on math tests. Our typical procedure is to work with students on current assignments. We schedule one-hour sessions at the residential address of Educational Support Services or we travel to your home or a nearby public facility to meet with your child. As gaps in understanding arise we begin to address those issues by providing additional support materials.

Tutoring sessions can be scheduled as often as you like. We would typically suggest starting out with one or two sessions per week. It is also possible to set these sessions up to accommodate a group of three or four students that are studying the same material.

Tutoring is provided at your convenience. Day or evening appointments can be arranged throughout the year.

Tutoring fees are $30.00 an hour plus the time to travel one direction. Here are a couple of examples. If you bring your child to our residential address there is a flat fee of $30.00 an hour. If you would prefer that we bring our services to you that is also available. If we can arrive at your home in about 10 minutes, the fee will be $35.00. This fee will cover the cost of travel one direction and a full hour of tutoring. If it takes 20 minutes to arrive at your home the fee will be $40.00. This fee will cover the cost of travel to your home and one full hour of tutoring.

In the summer of 2008 we began assisting students as they began to prepare for college entrance exams. Most schools in the MN area require that students take the ACT exam. This is the test that we use to prep students for testing. Contact us for additional details.
