All Koi I get are tested for KHV, SVC. Closely monitored by my wholesaler. All koi comming in are also quarintined here for 2-3 weeks pending on size. I have been with my wholesaler for a while now and I can say that I see alot of really nice Koi that come in here. And being that I am a Koi specialist, knowing what to look for, how they should represent. All are well past satisfactory through the grades. I hope to est. a great relationship with you/my customers, as this is #1 priority for me.

A new Koi is in the mix here at Eds House of Koi. A totally new breed from the rest. I have thought about this breed for some time now. And I have came to the conclusion, WHY NOT? This will be the very Koi that will make EHoK different from everyone else. A very exciting time for Eds House of Koi and our Aquaculture society. I am going to give you a little information about how the process is run here. We are about Koi of course. But there is so much more than just getting them in here and breeding to retail. Alot of long hours are put in here to ensure the safety and well being of these magnificent pondfish.
:First let me go through our catagories:
DECORATIVE KOI are a mix of all the different kind of colors out there that you could imagine. Produced here and with my wholesalers. These Koi are great to have for the Farm pond or just to have a different Koi than the rest. They stand at the lowest spot in the grading chart at B Grade.
SELECT KOI are superior to the Decorative Grade Koi in color and pattern. These Koi are good representaions of the Koi out there today. These are the most popular as they are great looking Koi at a reasonable price.
PREMIUM KOI most in which are equal to the Japenese imports for a fraction of the cost making it even more affordable to own a excellent looking Koi that would rival many. Conforming closely to the show quality standards to be the best out there today. There is great investment for your pond.
:Production:
Our production here at EHoK is through our wholesaler which consist of 3 facilities. Here they have over 100 mud ponds and artificial hatching as well. This is where I usually get my bigger koi from as they grow very fast and sizes are available to me for you. I have another one as well, for a back-up of out of stock Koi.
As well as with me here at the yard. I produce the smaller Koi and goldfish in my breeding cells. Alot of care is taken while this process is under way. Being that I don't have the room for large quantity I still perform up to show quality Koi.
:Health:
Operation under a detailed Bio Security plan developed with the help of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, My wholesaler is ensuring further protection from contamination. Fish are constantly monitored for KHV and SVC viruses as well. Incoming water is disinfected by using massive filters and UV sterilizers prior to entering ponds. This protects Koi for disease and contamination from outside sources.
I quarintine Koi when I receive them for the amount of 3-4 weeks prior to sale. To ensure no other problems pop up. There is no other Koi carried here for the virus reason. This is to give me the confidence that my Koi are healthy and monitored correctly. My water quality is tested twice a week depending on stocking levels. With that being said...................
