To The Viewers: My web site contains all of my opinions they are based on actual events and are facts and truths on what happened and what did not happen during my only grand-daughters death. As each and everyone of you know a murder in your family no matter how it took place must be held up and viewed. If you or someone in your family does not question a justice system and the way it conducts itself then many things will slip in between those cracks. Maybe even the person that took your own loved ones life.I looked at many things when my grand-daughter was killed. After the sentencing was over, and the man that took her life recieved 4.8 years for his crime, and upon the judge's final statement to him in front of our family, after I just got through reading my Victim's Impact Statement to this man and court. The judge said to him "That you are a Callus Young Man". "But after you serve your term in jail, and pay your restitution I will send you to a driver's school". This was the final straw in my book, to a system that does not check on a murder even if it is caused by a drunk driver, because they do not have the resourses to prove every charge. And then wanting to combine the lesser charges called stacking because they do not want to repeat any charges, and every charge has to be proved. And then finding out that the bail was high for this county because he was considered a flight risk a $100,000.00 and to make bail he would have to come up with 10%. And then finding out that the magistrate did not put any stipulations on him if he did make bail. Like no drinking,no driving, because he had a O.L.L. license and he was not suppose to be driving anyways because of the simple fact that the license states to work and back. No one reported to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles that this man just killed a 5 year old girl and yet according to regulations on a O.L.L. it is suppose to be immediately. He did not even have car insurance and yet he had a O.L.L. license and it states on the O.L.L. that you must have car insurance. He was not even driving the vehicle stated on the O.L.L. form and yet that is the only vehicle that he should have been driving. The vehicle was a deceased members of his family. The only stipulation put on him was this. To give the court on a permanent address on where he could be reached. Another violation of the O.L.L. a permanent address must be stated on this form. he was out on bail within the month and he was drinking once again and my niece was on her way to work one night in November and stopped at a diner to get a cup of coffee. The man was there and he was drunk, as he was bragging to everyone that could hear ,that he just came from the North Forty apparently another bar. she called me, and I was out that night, and she left her message on my answering machine. She called the State Police, and waited for them to show, and no one showed to catch him drinking and possibly driving again . It was around 11:00 p.m. that night when I hit that button on my answering machine and needless to say I was mad. I e-mailed the District Attorney that night and he did come up with excuses on why the State Police did not show. These excuses would not or could not hold water to any right thinking person. We had a homicide case in the county and the first 24 hours is critical in any homicide case and all the State Police were at that. Now let me see about that sentence ALL THE STATE POLICE? That would mean that the citizens would be left alone to protect and serve themselves? In case there happened to be a bank robbery,a hit and run, a brawl, another murder? He then told me that the Justice system is not perfect but it is the best we have. I kind of have my doubts on that statement also. It was found on further investigation that the man lied to the detective and to the District Attorney and even to his own lawyer and the detective found out when he went to the bar that he was there and drinking. But no one could verify to the detective that he was also driving. The sentencing date was moved up because of it and because something had to be done before some other family would have to pay the price. And I 'am telling you that price is way too high for any family member to pay. This letter is just to inform you of the wrongs of a justice system and drunk driving laws that protect the drunk driver and not the victims of the crime. This letter also informs you that every state in the United States has this O. L.L. license in one form or another. You can see it in action yourself all you have to do is look in your own newspaper and read Drunk Driver Kills and he was arrested before for D.U.I. A woman in Texas 14 times D.U.I. and each and every time she got her driver's license back and the police chase her time after time. A teen in New Mexico lost her entire family the man had a d.u.i. conviction and paid his restitution and recieved his driver's license back. He was fed liquor onboard a jet until he was obviously drunk. He got off the jet and got into a Rental car and his first stop was to a store to buy more beer and liquor. He met the teens family head on driving down the wrong side of the interstate killing them all except for the teen and her dog which survived. The drunk also was killed. Report after reports throughout the United States and yet our politicians can not figure out on what to do? First off every state across the United States tell everyone that it is a privilege to drive and not a right. But when a state gives out these O.L.L. licenses like lollypops they make it a right. Why? Because that drunk driver is a useful commodity and as long as they have that license they are betting on more crimes that they will commit so they can get that revenue. Take that license away permanently and confiscate any vehicles that they could drive without a license. But like I said they dare not touch them because of that revenue and the Liquor and Beer industries lobbyists buying your Senator and Representatives vote on any bills against that industry. The ones left on that roulette wheel is your own family and the gamble is will your love one survive? If you have read everything you know already what you must also do. Get in touch with your own Senator's and Representatives in your own state and tell them to stop this needless blood shed and the recieving of this blood money that alcohol causes not only in drunk driving but also in Rapes, Family Disputes,Robberies and yes even Murder. The taking of someones life no matter how it is done is murder no matter how it is done. All these laws must change because we are suppose to be living in a humane society, one nation under God indivisible with Liberty and justice for all not just some but ALL.....
