Edington is a rural village situated on and near to the B3908.
It is a historically renowned village mentioned in the Doomsday book and famous for being the location of the Battle of Edington in 878 AD. Between King Alfred of Wessex and the Danes.
The village contains The Lamb Inn, Post Office and Station Yard.
Joint winner of the Calor best village competition 1999.
The Edington Music Festival is held annually at the church, broadcast by the BBC.
