This site will be a depository of different research documents (and presentations) - some published - some unpublished. As my interests are directly focused on compositon, my research primarily implicates artistic and creative applications of (mostly) systematically acquired information. The relative applications might be best described as performative and theoretical - how performers and composers might develop deeper structural connections to the comprehensive, multidimensional phase space surrounding instruments and voices. The intent is to fully map the continuum from 'ordinario' procedures to extreme behaviors and outputs.
This examination is multi-disciplinary and involves acoustics, perception, music theory and applied pedagogy.
