Although some our activities happen out of Northchapel most are within. Here are some photos of the village and the places we explore.

Our Premises

Our premises are in a semi-detached house that has a large fully enclosed garden. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the center of the rural village of Northchapel, in West Sussex , within 5 miles of Petworth and Haslemere, Surrey.

What we offer !

We care for children from 0 to 12 years of age in a happy and caring environment. Our aim is to provide a flexible and age appropriate, structured day to meet the individual needs of each child in our care and as these needs will vary from day to day our aim is one of flexibility.

We offer a wide variety of play activities that include; imaginative play, physical play, home corner, dressing up, sand, dough, water, painting, using scissors and glue and creating pictures and models from scrap materials. We enjoy singing rhymes and reading stories, we make regular visits to the library, mother and toddler group, local parks, shops and weather permitting, go for walks in the local countryside, woods and the beach. There is a local Nursery School that your child could attend if you wish, this does of course depend on whether they have a vacancy. Parents are asked to pay for their child to attend Nursery School.

We also use the new family and childrens centre in Petworth. This state of the art facility is free to use for anyone with young children. It has a great stay and play room and meeting room, as well as internet access. For details on this call 01798 871199.

Contracts and Fees:

We use Morten Michel contracts as these help to clearly define all arrangements discussed and made about hours, holidays, fees, etc. This can help to avoid any misunderstandings with regard to these matters at a later date.

Once the contract has been agreed by both parties and a place has been reserved for your child/children. You will be expected to pay for his or her place whether they attend or not i.e. Public Holidays, Family holidays and illness.

Contracts are reviewed, initially after four weeks and there after, at three monthly or six monthly intervals. Parents are asked to pay fees in advance, these can be paid weekly or monthly and we do ask that they are paid on time. Payment can be made in cash, cheque or by standing order.

Confidentiality:

Any information given to us by parents will be treated with the strictest confidence.

The only people with access to this information are the Childminder and when appropriate OFSTED inspector

Child Protection:

If we are given reason to believe or suspect that any child may be suffering from physical, mental or sexual abuse we will take responsibility for playing a part in protecting that child and ensuring that the abuse is stopped as soon as possible. We will therefore inform OFSTED, who will pass the information on to the appropriate Social Services department.

Insurance:

It is a legal requirement for all Child Minders to have Public Liability Insurance.

We have Public Liability Insurance cover with the Morten Michel. A copy of the certificate is displayed on our premises.

Meals:

A main meal will be provided included in our charges. We do however ask parents to supply baby milks, baby foods, and any specialist dietary requirements

Toiletries:

Parents are asked to supply nappies, creams and wipes and a spare set of clothes. It would help us if these items could be marked clearly with the child's name.

Transport:

We have fully comprehensive motor insurance that covers business use.

Children will only be transported wearing seat belts and seated in age appropriate car seats.
