For all thoes who are starting out and need help with the basics.
Ollie: For people who ride Regular stand on the board with your left foot in the middle and right foot on the tail and smack down on the tail of the board with your right foot, now right after you do that slide your left foot up so it gets cought inbetween the nose and the body well jumping and try to put your knees as high into your chest as you can. Now for people who skate Goofy instead of using your right foot to smack the tail you switch and use your left, and your right foot in the middle. First few times you will try it some of you will get nervous of falling. Dont its natural when you do especially if you are doing a new trick i.e. Ollie
Nollie:For all riders just do an ollie but move to the opposite side of the board well riding forwards. |

Shuv-it: Try doing this trick without moving. Place your feet in the stance that you do an ollie in. Then take your front foot and thrust the board forward and kick you back foot backwards making it spin infront of you and jump a little, and then you need to make your feet land on the board. Try not to crush your toes.

Kickflip: In order to do a kickflip you need to know how to ollie, its a requirement for tons and tons of tricks. If you feel confident in trying this move while riding be my guest but it will be a lot harder than just doing it standing still. First off instead of putting your foot in the middle of your board put it in front of your bolts and bring you foot off of the board so only you have the ball of your big toe and your toes on it. After you got your balance and finding the spot you like on your board then smack the tail, and pop, then this is the tricky part while in the air kick your front foot (like a karate kick) and slide it off the corner of your nose to make it spin and to make the board stay even under your legs through you back leg backwards. An easier way for me to land is for me to try and click my heels when im about to land. It makes my feet come back faster. Also it works it easier if you have a lighter board. |

Frontside and backside boardslides.
|
Frontside Boardslide: Find a nice, low, straight curb if you can and if you're just begining to skateboard. Facing the curb ride up to it at a slow pace and try to pop onto it . While popping try to shift the skateboard onto it and make sure you're sliding. Once you're sliding on the curb try to get off. Now to get off just slide your body to the right or left and bend your knees a little for a better and safer landing.
Backside Boardslide: Just like the F/s boardslide but with you back facing the curb. Ride up to the curb and try to pop onto it. Now when you start to slide, but keep your balance and get off the same way as you would do a F/s boardslide but dont lean to hard. |

50-50: Well you should already have your curb you have been boardsliding on. Basically anything you can ollie onto. Ok ride up to the curb head-on at a medium speed. Ollie onto the curb landing on it with both of your trucks on the edge, and try to keep your balance while sliding across the curb. When you come off just bend your knees and manual off with a little pop. Dont for get to keep your set up the hole way threw. |
