The International Shaman Society is an organization founded not for profit in 1996 to educate, disseminate information, provide a forum on current events and new evolutions of Shamanism for all those with any interest in Shamanism around the world.

To date we have over 1,500 members who walk every path of life from doctors and lawyers to housewives and aborigines. No one is excluded from joining as long there is a sincere interest in the preservation of Shamanism. We offer classes both in person and online in Shamanism and we encourage Shamans to teach their ways through this Society. We provide a newsletter monthly to share what we have learned, to highlight new members and to address issues that affect all of us.

Over 15 million people in the world today are practicing some form of alternative medicine. Yet less than 2% of those are Shamanistic practices. We are losing the skills of the old ways and we need to respect, treasure and preserve our heritage before it is gone.

The Annual International Shaman Society Conclave is offered to members only at a reduced rate. This is an opportunity to come together and meet some of the most skilled and powerful Shamans practicing in the world today. This three day event was held at the Sheraton Inn in Delray Beach FL in January 2004 with an attendance of over 800. Four ceremonies were led by various Shamans during the event and many healings took place for the earth and its peoples. Books, music, drums, herbs and other products were sold to help raise funds for the Shaman Project, a conjunction of Shamans working in tandem for the healing of the earth and its peoples.

The Shaman Project for 2004 concentrates on healing environmental issues that have set the earth off its balance. Incredible dislocations of air, earth, fire and water have caused disastrous anomalies in the weather affecting crops, water supplies, arable lands. Earthquakes from the instability of the earth have risen across the world. Forest fires have sprung to a new consequence of devastation even within the US.

The Shaman Project is a consortium of Shamans from many lands working together to heal the Earth using combined "Intent". Join with Shamans around the world to work together on the Shaman Project 2004. You do not need to be a practicing Shaman to join the project or the organization.
