ECCRC Programs are funded by donations and by two sustaining projects - the Grouse Valley Lodge and the Treasure Chest Thrift Store. You can join in our funding drive for 2016. This year's drive is to get a small fish bowl, allow children to decorate it with stickers, and put your loose change into it throughout the year. Either take your coins to the Emerald Bank in Burden and ask them to deposit them into the ECCRC account or drop them by Lighthouse Library in Dexter, Kansas at 107 S Main. It is estimated that you will save over $100 in coins over the course of the year. If 100 people do the same, most of the entire annual budget for ECCRC will be met. Help fund literacy programs using this fun, painless way to donate.
We assist with your Education goals.
Each year we complete a 990 tax form which is logged with GuideStar where ECCRC has a Gold level. This is your assurance of transparency of all funds. Thank you for your tax deductible contributions. You continued donations sponsor literacy and other programs at ECCRC for the benefit of others. It is amazing that small donations built a library in a community where there was not one for a 20 mile radius. To help pay the utilities and keep programs open, please donate: ECCRC, PO Box 40, Dexter, KS 67038.

Click to add This photo shows part of the Oceanfront Cinema (Outdoor movie theater) in the back courtyard at Lighthouse Library. Thanks to Bette Playford for creating the large lettering for the movie wall. Student Volunteers from USD 471 will be working on the outdoor movie theater this spring as well as setting up the commercial shelving in the library.
We hope you will donate to this interesting project for kids and adults! Having a HUGE Saltwater aquarium will be so much fun for for everyone. There will be a webcam where everyone can view the fish from home. Inland Aquatic Club members can share their project with others as well. And it will be linked to LITERACY Programs at the site. Every $5 donated puts us that much closer to the goal.
We selected the aquarium equipment in early June at the Great Mall of the Plains. Check out our facebook page for updates. Please click on the Blog Tab on this site for specific information about the ECCRC Inland Aquatic Club. Get on the ground-floor of this new club. There are many fun adventures planned for this special group of individuals which will be a mix of children, youth, and adults. See the blog for details.
The cost for the aquarium and ocean life is $5,000. (UPDATE: As of March 7, 2013, we have raised $2,225.00 toward this goal!) The rewards will be countless - responsibility to the children & youth who help care for the ocean life, the ways to learn about the ocean, and the link to literacy that it can and will provide. Not to mention the just plain old fun it will offer to others - as they peer through the port hole windows on the outside or come inside to see all the fish! To donate, visit this link or send your donation to: ECCRC, PO Box 40, Dexter, KS 67038.
