'Ugly' Multi-Storey Reopens |
|
|
The revamped Multi-Storey Car Park in Ebbw Vale town centre will reopen on Monday May 15, 2006.
The £3 Million 'make-over' has over run by approximately seven months and the final costs are still unknown.
In April Ebbw Vale Online ran a poll, that when the Multi-Storey car park finally opened whether it was still necessary to keep traffic following through the town. The results were mixed, however most agreed that the barrier should come down.
Next week councillors will meet local business people to discuss the traffic running through town.

Clive Burgess Passes Away |
|
|
It is with the great sadness that we inform you of the death of Clive Burgess, one of Ebbw Vale’s greatest players and a superb exponent of back row play. Burgess played also for Wales between 1977 and 1982, winning a total of nine Welsh caps.
Ebbw Vale Online extends our deepest sympathy to the family, Sue and his two daughters.
The funeral took place at Mount Pleasant Chapel, and was well attended by family and friends, and many former Ebbw Vale and Welsh international players. The service was followed by cremation at Creosyceiliog, Cwmbran.
Ebbw Vale Rugby Club, hosted the funeral reception and officials from the club made a special presentation to the family of Clive, for his work at the club.
