REASON:
Just the usual. I [Kalee] want to have my own website to post up my thoughts, ideas, and fandoms. I've been doing the same thing for quite some time, but it never occured to me to have a site title..until now. This site is quite for personal purposes like all my other ones as well as a little bit for graphic making. [*Read further about graphics.]
THE SITE NAME:
Eastward Wind was inspired by the first ending theme from NARUTO. Most of you know that I [Kalee] am obsessed and in love with that song. It evokes that deep emotion within me, and really WIND is one of those songs I could never get tired of.
So I asked Kamy one random night, "What do you think goes good with the word WIND?" Of course my lovely Kamy, told me that there were many words. I took a bit of time afterwards, and then thought up two words to go with it. EASTWARD or WESTWARD. I asked Kamy again and she thought that EASTWARD sounded good, but of course I never thought of the site initials afterwards.. The results were E-W. Of course I thought it sounded a bit...umm insulting, but I couldn't change matters now because Eastward Wind is quite the lovely site name.
MY LONG HTML HISTORY:
I remember the time when I was obsessed with glittery images, bright colors, and things that would normally kill any eyes. That was how my site tastes were. Really awful. Afterwards, I started learning a few basic HTML codes from the professional sites on PICZO. That was where my site making had started. As time passed my tastes in color and graphics had slowly changed, and it was no longer the glitter and eye-killing colors. It was a time of slight site-maturing as I would call it.
For a long time, I've been surfing the web and seeing plenty of beautiful layouts, but the only problems was that I didn't know how to download them until quite recently. Around mid seventh until eighth grade, had I learned how to unzip files. So after learning how to do so, I started using premade layouts for a while, and I occasionally do it now sometimes, but the layouts are never long lived.
I finally stumbled upon Magitek Designs, and read the tutorials on how to make my own tables layout. The process was really slow but it was still smooth. I had failed at my first tables layout, and had then moved onto making frame layouts. They were easier for me and I had started using them for a period of time. Then I watched Princess TuTu, and had decided to make my own tables layout after a long time of not designing layouts. It was probably one of my best designs since my whole designing career.
I was so satisfied with my results that I tried working on another PT layout. I just never got to slicing or coding the layout since my sentiments had changed. So I was then switching then and now between premades and my own designed layouts for a while.
I began watching Ouran High School Host Club, and had then fallen in love with the show. I worked on two layouts, but only one lived longer than the other. I'm actually still quite pleased with the results of that layout. I like changing layouts so it had to go, but if any of you want to use it then I'll try my best as well to make it a downloadable file for your availability.
The fanlisting obsession had started sometime during the summer of 2006 as I suddenly decided to join. I was occasionally visiting a fanlisting, but I didn't know much about how to join or so. Afterwards, the FLmania started, and I'm still going through it. As you can already see I have a few pages of joined FLs.
I'm usually quite a lazy site maker, as you can already tell by looking at my updates. I barely have time to update seeing as I like surfing the web..a lot. I also enjoy watching anime series on Youtube, and doing things other than.. updating my site. GASP! Yes, I'm still not much of a commited webmistress, but this is just quite the personal site. It's been known throughout my site making history that, I'd have a brand new layout, but the content just never updated.
I know how annoying that can be, but sometimes it just can't be helped. I sometimes get "site-block". I run out of things to do to my site to improve it or update it with. But whenever I do update it, I guess it'll be a miracle. For the time being, I mostly update my FL pages since I'm always joining new ones. As well I'm still trying my best to make graphics, only as a hobby. I consider my graphics really really low quality and beginner level. But as I work harder in time they might get better.
