The final club tournament of the season was this past sunday, Oct. 18, 2009. The weather was cold and windy and the rain held off.
Fishing was tough. In the fishoff tournament Billy Gayle bought only 3 fish to the scales but his big fish of 4.46 pounds not only got him first place but took lunker pot also! Joe Wells came in second place with four fish and a weight of 5.44 pounds. Ralph and Justin came in third place with two fish weighing 2.04 pounds. Scott Brown had one fish for 4th place and Scott R. Brown came in 5th.
In the club portion of the tournament Tim Nichols took 1st place with 4 fish weighing 6.14 pounds. Jeff Davis took 2nd with 3 fish and a weight of 4.38 pounds. Lunker pot went to Tim with a 2.64 pounder. Langley, Chris and Rick split the 3rd place payout.
It was good to see Jeff and Chris at the tournament. We missed you guys! Everyone keep a lookout for possible new members for the 2010 season. I hope Greg, Mike, Brian Jones and the rest of the 2008 members that fished other tournaments this year will consider coming back for the 2010 season. We missed you guys!
I will contact everyone after the first of the year to set up a club meeting to go over the rules and set up the schedule for the 2010 season. Everyone have a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hope Santa brings us all some lucky lures. Also keep an eye on the website for the winter club meeting date and any other info that may come up.
