Ok... so tough decisions have to be made in life. I have decided to step away from the game for a while. Emil will be directing the final 3 TACO tournaments for the year, so lets not give him a hard time. He is a young and up and coming director, so show some patience with him. He'll do a good job. Also, because of the economy, we are going to have to cut the points awards for this year, it's been really tough on us to make things happen. Anyway, Jeff Jones will be operating the TACO's with the Raleigh Tournament Chess Club starting in January and they are going to rock with the tournament. Jeff is a great guy and will carry the TACO's to a very successful future. As for me, I have two great tournament directors here in Greenville, that I am training to take over Greenville Chess Club. I will still probably do a couple of small events, but with a new focus in life and direct I am going, I had to make the toughest decision ever, lay down the chess board and start changing others lifes. I am going back to school to persue a MAT in Middle Grades Education and learning to be a leader in God's eyes through our youth group 20something. I will still around when it comes down to helping out our TD's and chess players whenever they need a pick me up, just someone to talk to, or needs advice on something. The door and e-mail box is always open.
Take care and God bless,
Victor Beaman,
