stationary toy steam engines and workshops

Mamod workshop 1, showing a Minor 1 driving the full ramge of accessories; a buffer, hammer, grinding machine and power press via two lineshafts. It never ceases to amaze me how poweful this little engine is!

Mamod workshop 2  in full steam, powered by an SP 4 engine

An attempt to recreate a vintage workshop, which I'm very pleased with. The lineshaft is a stunning 8-wheel 1910 Plank Hoch, which retains all its original blue paintwork - it cost me more than the majority of my engines, but I have a thing about worlshops and, on this occasion,  it was to hell with the expense! The individual drive models are detailed on the accessories page; on the right hand photo, from l-r; Bing hammerpress, Plank grinder, Plank buffers, Plank lathe. The base is a bit of shelving, papered and coated with 6 coats of antique stain varnish.
