Senior Report

Dysart FC 5 - 1 Rahara Rovers

Our senior team kept their promotion march in motion and also rekindled hopes of winning the league with a very impressive 5-1 win in Dysart on Sunday morning. The visitors were outplayed for most of the match and it was Robbie Byrne who broke the deadlock when he powered home Niall Corbett's inswinging corner. Mark Higgins then combined well with James Coyne and his strong run and sweet finish gave the home side a 2-0 lead at the break.

A minute into the second half, Jason Corbett virtually ensured the three points, rounding the Rovers 'keeper before finishing from a very acute angle. Derek Miskell's long ball allowed Niall Corbett to play Keith Waldron through on goal and he unselfishly squared the ball to Brendan Mannion, who scored his first of the season. Keith and Niall combined once more, this time resulting in Waldron getting on the scoresheet. Rahara did get a consolation goal via a long range effort but Dysart will be pleased with the result and the accompanying performance.
