Dynamic will block rooms at a
specific hotel for the out-of-town competitions. This is where the entire team will stay, along with the
coaches. We will also book a meeting
room for the weekend so that we can have impromptu practices as
necessary. We will ensure that the
hotel chosen is close to food, and conveniences. Each of the rooms is designed for double-occupancy and can be
shared to ease the cost. This information will be provided as soon as a
decision is made. |

Policies and
Practices
Tuition Policies
Tuition
Charges begin in May of 2006 and continue through April of 2007.
All Dynamic
members must pay their monthly tuition no later than the 10th of
each month. A $20.00 late fee is
assessed to your account after that date.
Tuition
covers all practices (regular and extra) during the Cheerleading Season.
Dynamic
Gymnastics and Cheer will not pro-rate tuition for any missed classes.
Tuition is
based on a 12 month program with Holidays and 5 week months taken into
account. Because we do not charge for
extra practices, we cannot give allowances for vacations, Holidays, or missed
classes.
Regular Practices
All
Competitive Team classes are scheduled and posted on our website. Classes begin the week of May 15, 2006. We are aware of most school activities that
might conflict with our program, be assured that every effort is made to hold
practices on a day that you will be able to attend. Obviously, time conflicts
may not be able to be resolved for some students. If someone is placed on a team that holds practice on an
unavailable night, we will make every effort to move that person to a more
acceptable team. We will not move
anyone to a higher level team simply because it is a better night for them to
attend practice. Our team structure
must come first in order to have a successful program.
Extra Practices
Extra
practices will be scheduled on an “as needed” basis per squad. There is no limit to the number of extra
practices for any particular team.
Coaches will decide which teams need extra practices based on situations
that arise throughout the season. Some
teams may practice more than others due to injuries or choreography
changes. We realize “short scheduling”
can be an inconvenience, but please understand that it is to our advantage to
have our teams fully prepared for every event they attend. We make every effort for short notices not
to happen therefore we expect 100% participation.
Attendance
All
regularly scheduled and extra practices are considered mandatory. They demand teamwork and dedication from all
team members. The staff reserves the
right to remove squad members from a performance and possibly the team if
practices are missed. One school
sponsored activity such as school cheerleading or school athletics is allowed
as an excuse to miss a practice. Each
situation is handled by the coaching staff on an individual basis. Please let your coach know of any conflicts
that you may have as soon as possible.
We are aware of school mandated testing and try to adjust hours during
these times so that you may get plenty of rest. It is the student’s responsibility to learn any missed
material. When missing a practice, you
should designate another member to pick up any handouts and to teach you any
new material necessary.
Policies
and Practices – continued:
Additional Classes
Available
In addition
to your regularly scheduled team classes, we offer classes in tumbling and
gymnastics. If you are interested in
attending any of these, please check at our front desk for the schedule that
will fit your needs.
Private Instruction
Policies
In addition
to tumbling classes students may take private class instruction. We allow our students to schedule privates
with any of our coaches. It is
important for you to know our instructors are contracted by you the customer
for private classes. Dynamic Gymnastics
& Cheer cannot schedule, take messages, or be responsible for the coach you
hire. Coaches charge approximately
$20.00 per half hour student, if you want to share that time with another
student it is $30.00 per half hour or $15.00 per student.
All Dynamic
Gymnastics and Cheer students must be cleared at a zero balance in order to
take private lessons.
Individual
Competition Policy
Any Team
Member may sign up to compete in Individual Competitions. This may include but is not limited to:,
Jump, Cheer, Crowd Pleaser, Crowd Leader Duo, Stunt Groups, Hip Hop Dance,
Street Dance and any other competition that is handled as “Individuals” from
the Competition Company. However, in
order to compete in any of these categories, you must be a member of Dynamic
Gymnastics and Cheer, on a Competitive Team, and current on your Account. Any account that is not current cannot
compete in this category. All registrations
must be handled through Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer for any and all competitions. Please be aware that you are also liable for
your own routines. You may contract the
coaches to put routines or cheers together for you. This will fall under the Private Instruction Policy.
Fundraising Policy
We realize
the high cost of cheerleading. We do
our very best to keep our fees down.
Our program is competitively priced in the cheerleading industry against
other comparable companies.
We
recommend putting a Booster Club together to handle fundraisers. By organizing a Booster Club and filing for
501C3 – Non Profit Status, you will be able to have companies sponsor your
child or your child’s team. Many of our
members have been successful in raising the funds they need to be in our
program, however they are not able to receive sponsorship from corporations
because they are not non-profit status.
Money
raised by individuals will be credited directly to their account. We do not allow those funds to be
distributed evenly amongst team members.
We will do everything possible to help individuals if needed. We want everyone to have the opportunity to
be a member of Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer.

Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer
copy of Inherent Risks of Cheerleading
Cheerleading
is reasonably safe as long as certain guidelines are followed, but there is the
inherent risk of injury as in any athletic activity. Cheerleading is an anaerobic/aerobic activity which includes, but
is not limited to, jumping, stunting, motions, and tumbling. Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer strongly
recommends each student undergo a physical examination by his/her physician
before beginning any cheerleading activities.
Each student must inform their coach of all injuries and/or chronic
conditions.
Although
the probability of injury is minimized if you practice correctly, there is
always the possibility of one occurring.
Injuries that can occur in cheerleading include, but are not limited to,
the following: blisters, muscle
strains, ligament sprains, joint and muscle soreness, abrasions, contusions,
stress fractures, broken bones, spinal cord injuries involving paralysis, and
even death. However, if you take
certain precautions, the possibility of such injuries will be largely decreased.
Make sure
you consistently abide by the following guidelines:
1.
NEVER stunt or tumble unless a coach
or coach’s designee is present.
2.
Always practice in the presence of a
qualified coach.
3.
Always warm-up appropriately before
cheering (practice and competition)
4.
Do not attempt a stunt that you do
not know how to perform safely.
5.
Always use attentive spotters when
learning to stunt.
6.
Always cheer in an area free from
obstruction.
7.
Do not stunt on uneven ground, wet
surfaces, or concrete.
8.
Never talk, laugh, or mess around
when performing a stunt.
9.
Report all injuries to the coach as
soon as they occur.
10.
Follow all trainer and doctor
recommendations.
11.
Always wear shoes and clothing
appropriate for cheerleading.
12.
Never wear jewelry of any kind when
cheering (practice and competitions).
13.
Never chew gum or candy while
cheering (practice and competitions).
14.
Always have your hair secured away
from face and shoulders.
15.
Eat nutritious meals and get plenty
of rest.
16.
Always ask for assistance or advice
at any time.
I have read the preceding warning. I thoroughly appreciate and understand the
assumption of risks inherent in cheerleading participation. I acknowledge that I am physically fit and
am voluntarily participating in this activity.

It’s funny that we have more Parent
Guidelines than Team Member Guidelines.
Most of our parents appreciate the guidelines, treating them with
respect. In fact, 95% of our current
member’s parents never have any issue with our guidelines. They also appreciate the fact that we do not
allow “Parent Politics” in our gym. We
are reasonable, but our athletes, the Dynamic overall reputation, and pride in
our name are the driving force behind our rules and regulations.
All Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer All
Star Cheerleader Parents/Guardians will be required to sign the following
agreements:
1.
I am aware of the time commitment
necessary for my child to participate in the Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer All
Star Cheerleading Program.
2.
I will be sure that my child attends
all regularly scheduled practices from May of 2006 through April of 2007. In addition I will be sure that my child is
available to attend any extra practices needed, especially the weekend prior to
and the entire week of any performance or event.
3.
I understand that all coaching
decisions are made by the Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer Coaching Staff and I
will fully support those decisions.
4.
I will not interfere with the
coaching of any Dynamic Team at practices or performances.
5.
I understand that I am not allowed
in the coaching area (gym or practice facility) during a team practice or
discussion. I am aware that this
includes pre-warm-up, warm-up, and team discussions at competitions.
6.
I understand that the parent area is
available for parents to watch the progress of Dynamic practices. I will only speak positively about the
program and/or coaches. In addition, I
will not comment or give my opinion regarding any Dynamic athlete, the
practice, or the routine unless I am asked by the coach.
7.
I will respect the Dynamic facility
as an athletic training center. I will
constantly supervise any child/children that I bring to the gym. I will not allow my child/children behind
the front desk at any time.
8.
I understand that shoes must be worn
in the parent area and practice facility.
This includes any child/children that I bring to the gym.
9.
If I have a problem concerning the
coaching of my child, I will personally direct my issue to Bobbie or Rick
Markland, away from the gym, practice site, performance or event. I will not discuss my personal coaching
issues with the Team Coordinators, Team Moms, other Parents within the program,
or my child.
10. I will openly express my concerns freely with my Coach concerning my
child. I understand that voicing these
concerns will not affect the coaching of my child or his/her squad placement.
11. I will not approach Competition Judges or Officials at any event. I understand that competition judging is
subjective and I may not agree with the outcome of the judging scores. I am aware that my opinion of performance
may differ from the opinions of the judges.
12. I understand that the Dynamic name will not carry my child or his/her
team. I understand that the season will
have its’ ups and downs. I will support
my child, his/her team, the Dynamic Coaches, and the entire program through the
great achievements and the minor setbacks.
I am aware that the challenges will make the team and ultimately my
child a better athlete.
13. I will direct my complaints, problems, and sensitive issues regarding
any concerns I may have directly to Bobbie or Rick Markland via email: dynamicgym@sbcglobal.net or by
leaving a message for them at 281-487-8455 to return my call.
Copy of Parent Agreement –
continued:
14. I will represent the Dynamic program at competitions and events with
good sportsmanship. I will only speak
positively about the Dynamic program as well as Dynamic competitors.
15. I will not place blame of weak performance or missed skill in a routine
on my child or any other Dynamic athlete.
I understand that my child’s team succeeds together and fails together.
16. I will respect the duties of the Coaches, Team Coordinators, Team Moms
and any of the Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer Staff. I will not approach them at any event in a negative manner.
17. I will be responsible for all fees associated with my child being a part
of Dynamic Cheer. These fees include
monthly tuition, uniforms, competition entry fees, registration fees, coaches
fees and any additional fees that may arise due to additional items being
added.
18. I understand that my account must be cleared to a -0- balance 10 working
days prior to an event in order for my child to perform. I am aware that Dynamic may prevent my child
from performing and/or remove them from the team if my account is not up to
date. Under these circumstances, I will
not be entitled to a refund of any fees that I have all ready paid.
19. I understand that if the above can not be done, than I have all ready
made arrangements with Bobbie Markland.
20. I understand that I must carry a -0- balance in order for my child to be
able to sign up for private lessons.
21. I am aware that when traveling out of town as a member of the Dynamic
Cheer Team program, my child will be required to stay at Dynamic designated
hotels.
22. I will be responsible for the transportation of my child to and from all
Dynamic events, practices, and performances.
I agree that my child will arrive on time and dressed appropriately.
23. I will not take my child from any event, practice, or performance, until
she/he has been released by the Coach.
24. I will be flexible regarding all events that Dynamic attends. I understand that schedules will be given
out with little notice and schedules for events may change.
25. I give permission to Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer, to use my child’s
picture for promotional and advertising purposes.
26. I give permission to Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer to provide my address,
phone number, email and any other contact information to other team members
within the program.
27. I am aware that Dynamic strongly believes in the benefit of its students
getting to know athletes from other areas, races, and cultures. I support Dynamic in its decision to not
discriminate against its students based on race, background, or religion
preference.
28. I understand that if I break any of the rules outlined in this
agreement, I may be asked to drop off and pick up my child to and from the
gym. In other words, Dynamic will put
me on “drive by” status. If I am put on
“drive by” status by the Dynamic Staff, my child may remain a member of
Dynamic, but I will not be allowed to attend.
In severe cases of agreement violation, Dynamic has the right to remove
my child from a performance or team.
Under these circumstances I forfeit my right to any refund of any monies
collected by Dynamic Gymnastics and Cheer, including, but not limited to
competition fees, coaches fees, pre-paid monthly tuition, registration fees,
uniform fees and any other monies that may have been collected.
