THESE RULES ARE ONLY MADE NECESSARY BY THE PEOPLE WHO NEED EVERYTHING WRITING DOWN FOR THEM.
The aim of this event is for EVERYONE to have FUN. Not find out who has the biggest e-wang. If you don't like it, don't join in. This will be FAIR and BALANCED.
1.1.0 You will have one life. Once you are dead you may resurrect and recover your belongings. You will then proceed to the designated waiting room until the event has finished.
1.1.1 Nothing other than equipment that can be carried by the fighters onto the battleground may be used. (no troll mercenaries/wizard clouds for example) An exception to this is witches and their bats.
1.1.2 Pets may not be brought onto the battleground, you can ask your pets to remain outside the Arena by using the "stay" command.
1.1.3 Fighters may take 1 bottle of healing tea, 1 bottle of blue water and 1 bottle of elixir into the Arena. Bottles and canteens only, not tankards, gourds or barrels etc.
1.1.4 Up to 10 strips of bandage may be taken into the Arena. You can also kill NPCs to make yourself more bandages during the fight.
1.1.5 Fighters may not take any magic scrolls, wands or staves into the Arena.
1.1.6 Fighters may not take any blue crystal rings into the arena, and will be limited to a maximum of 2 pink crystal rings.
1.1.7 Assassins may take ONE phial of poison into the arena. This is limited to Snake Constitution Reduction, Hallucination, Misdirection and Command Removal. Non-Assassins are not permitted to use poisons. Poisons bought from the Assassins Guild Shop are also permitted.
1.1.8 Fighters may not use any faith rods prior to, or during the fight.
1.2.1 Fighters may not enter the arena under any defensive spell. To this end, every fighter must remove all magical shields before the fight, then recast them prefight. Exceptions to this are wizards with EFF and witches with Household Guard.
1.2.2 Priests may enter with major or minor shields, although all other types of shielding must be cast prefight.
1.2.3 Corpses for Grisald's Reanimated Guardian and Unquiet Spirit spells/rituals may be obtained outside the arena and brought in via dragging or portal. Or, the wizard/priest may use these spells/rituals outside of the arena and simply walk to the arena. You may replace the weapons on the corpse, but no other equipment may be added or taken away. Rule 1.2.1 applies to these.
1.2.4 Scrolls may not be used by anyone.
1.2.5 You can't enter the arena under any stat effects other than worn or held items. Example: You can't get a blessing from the OC shrine, then use it to shield up prefight or use during the fight.
1.2.6 Banned rituals: Agrophobia, Divine Hand and Endless Halls.
1.2.7 Banned spells: None
1.2.8 Wards that result in the loss of life, items or both are not permitted. You are strongly advised to ensure these wards are NOT on your items prior to the fight. This includes banned rituals.
1.3.1 The fighters will begin in different corners of the battleground.
1.3.2 The fighting will take place in a location of the administrations choosing. Further details to follow.
1.3.3 You must NOT receive any outside assistance in any form during the fight. This includes NPK, NPC or PK assistance.
1.3.4 Should you leave the arena accidentally you must re enter immediately or you will be removed from the fight. Running out of the arena to heal / shield is not acceptable.
1.3.5 Should you be forced to leave the arena through an action of your opponent (pizza for example) you must re-enter the arena as soon as permitted by the effect or you will be disqualified.
1.3.6 There is no time limit to this event. The event will finish only when a "Last team standing" has been declared.
1.4.1 Any stolen/fumbled/filched/(stuff that isn't yours) items must be returned after the fight to the rightful owner. No looting may occur. If someone does steal something from you, they can use it. Take expensive consumables in at your own risk.
1.4.2 In the event that you are looted and items are not returned please speak with a member of the administration team.
1.5.1 AoE spells may also fry your team mates, be careful! ;)
1.5.2 No paying of contracts of attendees before or after a fight is allowed. Assassins are asked not to close contracts during this period.
1.5.3 Anyone caught using methods to cause loss of a life will be punished severely.
1.5.4 If a reboot begins, the event will be postponed until a later time / date to be decided at administrations discretion.
1.5.5 Your link is your own responsibility. If you have a 2 hour cutoff (or annoying brothers/sisters) then make sure you reconnect before the fight (or kick them off the other computer).
1.6.1 Other than these minor rules, the fighting is a free for all, use whatever nasty tactics you can lay your grubby hands on. Remember, this is for fun. Anybody spoiling the fun for anyone else will be classed as a rule breaker and treated accordingly.
2.0.1 Anyone caught insulting or harassing any Admin staff will be punished.
2.0.2 If someone is caught breaking the rules, they may well find a suitable punishment being enacted.
2.0.3 If you're caught intentionally abusing smart arse loopholes in the rules, you will be subject to some form of punishment, depending on my mood and how smart you think you were.
2.0.4 Do remember the fighting should be kept within the Arena. Anyone caught with grudges running over into normal game time with nasty comments/fighting happening will be punished. Anyone with such problems arising from the event should contact administration explaining what's happening.
In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. So, too, it is better to recapture an army entire than to destroy it.
